It's all crude now.

Hope that they haven't increased the subteranian damage and aggravated the problem.

those relief wells could miss the mark too. That one in 79 took 7 relief wells before they hit it. 9 months of this and we are talking massive ocean kill.

Can we now start seriously looking at alternative energies? Every day the world is bombarded with enough solar energy to satisfy the entire planet's energy needs for a year. It's inexcusable that we aren't harnessing this 100% free and 100% clean source of energy.

The issue is really not the need for more regulations or more laws but enforcement of current regulations and current law.

You can regulate an industry up the ass but if those regulations are not enforced it is meaningless.

The same can be said about illegal immigration. There is no need for new laws, only for government enforcing existing laws.

The same can be said about the stock market.

The same can really be said about much of the failures of government.

Proper enforcement trumps quantity of regulations any day.

With that in mind, the administration really needs to clean house in the MMS. They should have done it before this even happened, in fact. The corruption was already documented during Bush's years, and there's no excuse for letting it continue now since it's even more apparent.

And when I say clean house, I mean ruthlessly. If a few innocent people get caught in the crossfire, so be it. Heads need to roll to send a message to all federal agencies that they aren't guaranteed employment for life.

The odds of a hurricane(s) going through Gulf before August are probably pretty high. Nobody knows how oil will affect it or vise-versa. Other than that your're looking at black Gulf come back to school time.
