Descent: Freespace and Freespace 2. I still play through those games, I would LOVE a sequel.

Original Diablo. Never realized item hunting was that much addictive. Battle.net, nuff said. Diablo 2 was more of the same and finally I grew tired of it.

Football Manager (previously Championship Manager, known as World Soccer Manasger in the us)

I've been playing this game since 92, and have bought every single version since on the day of release. Play an average of 20 hours a week (i work from home and it's ideal to have running on my 2nd pc as i don't need to give it all my attention)

Was a tough choice between SC and D2, but I had to go with SC. I can play D2 longer in short spurts, but SC wins out for longevity. Funny to see all top 3 games are from Blizzard, but not at all surprising.

they're probably the only game that I could play all night and not even realize the time passing until I start hearing birds (in fact, I've done so many times )

I just started playing Civ 4 and it's ridiculous how fast the time flies when playing that game. You ALT-TAB, lock at the clock, and realize 7 hours has already flew by.

7 hours? I just finished in 30 minutes

I'd say the most I've ever played a game was either QuakeWorld Team Fortress or more likely Counter-Strike (non-Source).

Right now I'm hooked on Team Fortress 2.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction by far is, for me, the most addictive game I have ever played on ALL platforms I've ever owned (10+) since I started playing video games back in late 1988 or 1989 (can't remember exactly).

I'd like to add to my previous post (of BG2 and Act Of War):

Disciples 2. I just cant stop. You can read my Disciples 3 thread to find out why.

Also: Test Drive Unlimited. The very best freeform game and the very best racing sim I have played.
As popular as Gran Turismo and the others are, they just dont have the same fun factor as TDU. If they could make a Freelancer mod or a sequel that had the same features (purchase multiple homes and store all your cool rides) we would have one awesome game.

Also on my personal list: KOTOR 1 and 2. Despite there are few side quests and its the exact same story each time and both games have several flaws, I keep playing them. Each of them at least once a year, sometimes more. The good far outshines the bad.

Morrowind and Oblivion: Again, each is flawed but I keep going back to see all the mods I downloaded and marvel at how rich the world is.

Heroes of Might & Magic 3 and maybe 2: Anybody who doesnt know why obviously hasnt played them, and is seriously missing out.

Master of Orion 2: Same thing. You have to experience it yourself. I cant say enough good things about it.
Also by Microprose was the good version of MTG. It has not since been duplicated. Too bad it has serious compatibility issues with anything after Win98.

Duke3D. I got the win32 version and it ROCKS!! Same with Doom95. Simple yet addictive, good gameplay.
For the same reason I like to go back to Serious Sam 1st and 2nd at least once a year. They got back to basics and its fun.

I'm addicted to alot of games, right now the recent Pirates! game, but when I selected other as my vote I meant the greatest sleeper hit, Mafia! If you've never played it GO BUY IT! If ya don't know what it is FIND OUT! Or I'll chase ya down with a heatah(heater).

Right on, I agree with that, oh I'll just play 3 more turns and call it quits, (4hrs later) Ok I'll quit now........ After I play 1 more turn, I just want to get the troops in place so I'll remember what my plan was when I play again (3hrs later) $h!T It's 4 A.M. and I have to go to work at 6, dammit!........ Just let me play one more turn! :D

Work Buddy: Why were you asleep at your desk dude?
Me: Well, you know how it is man.....
Work Buddy: Huh?
Me: She kept me up all night.
Work Buddy: Woah dude! Who's the bad chick?
Me: Catherine, We had a big fight and then we settled our diffrences and reformed our alliance. You know how it is.
Work Buddy: Oh do I! (Whistles)
