have you guys ever seen a chick in a modern Vette before ? I was surprised to see one the other day... relatively young too...

Wonderful timing for this question :) About a week ago I was driving down I-85 and saw a topless viper with the license plate that read "PU55Y" and when I pulled along side of the car it was a very nice looking chick. Probably mid-late 20's. She innevitably floored it and i tried to keep up but in the end she got the best of me (big surprise?)

How do you think someone that young got a car like that?

I will never speak to you again for the simple fact that the '67 Cmaro SS is not on that list....for SHAME!

You could sit in just about any car with respectable power after sitting in a V6 mustang and be impressed....

Nevermind the V8's (the new cobras are nice, but two problems remain, still a flaky ass ford, and still WAY overpriced) lack of impressing power, the V6's are just embarassing.

Back in last summer a friend of mine would take his Camaro SS ('02) out on the weekends and troll for mustangs, there was always a plentiful amount of them (V8's and V6's) looking for a go....just embarassing what happened to them. So far from a "sports car" its not funny. The new ones are an improvement but the biggest thing they have going for them is that the Camaro and Firebird are no longer made.

I'd be willing to bet money they don't stack up against the plain-jane GTO though.

And as plain as the GTO is I'd take the rock solid LS1 wrapped in a quality holden body ANY day of the week over a first year Ford product.

Shame too, back in the day the Mustang used actually be something. Yay ford!

For the longest time, the Cobra's couldn't keep up w/ the Trans Ams or SS\Z28s.... THen they threw on a supercharger and were nipping on the heels of Corvette Z06s. Shortly after, the f body was discontinued. Coincidence?!?!?! I think so.

Except you couldn't get a Cobra for under $40,000 while you could easy find an SS or WS6 for $30,000.

And theres a HELL of alot more room to grow from that LS1 than there is from the Cobra engines of which you speak.

Not to mention of all the people I know who drive mustangs, only ONE of them doesnt have quality problem.

They are NOT reliable, faaaaaar from it in fact.

And the new cobra is the only cobra in a long time thats "nipped at the heels ov Z06's".

And in the end it still loses out to the Z06. And good lord have mercy on you if you make it a fair fight and SC that Z06....kiss your @ss goodbye!

Well one of them isn't a trophy wife, Jenna Jameson Drives one or drove one.

Not only that but I think he has a script setup to just constantly check their front page and post their new news stories....

I think we get the point....visit autoweek.com....does it really warrant a new thread everytime they post a "new" story about old news?

Haha, indeed. :)

I'm sorry but the big block Camaros didn't handle as well as the Chevelles and Corvettes. :(

And many things outpaced the Chevelles and Corvettes. But that didnt stop a boatload of people from buying them, because 99.9% of them never did anything but a straight line.

That's like saying make it a fair fight and give the Cobra 1.1 liters more displacement... They're both great cars. I love the look of the Cobra R.
