Tool: Aenima

Ns1

No Lifer
Easily their sickest album, although as of late I've started to listen to Undertow. ALOT.

Discuss.

Aenima was my favorite until I started listening to Undertow. Now Undertow is my favorite followed by Aenima. I alternate between Lateralus and 10,000 Days.

Definitely their strongest album from start to finish.

And how can you not vote for album that has the song "Hooker With a Penis"?

Undertow for me, although I only like them moderately and don't thwack my balls around for them like some people I know.

Paul D'amour's tone on that cd is so ridiculous. I like to listen to salival though just for "no quarter"

I'm going to have to agree with vi edit. Definitely their strongest album. I love the track Lateralus, though, and 10,000 days has some really good tracks, coming in at a close second. It's interesting to see how their music has matured throughout the years.

The album cover always makes me think of Goatse.

I have listened to a few songs off Aenima, 10,000 Days and Undertow. Not enough to form any real opinion but I think my favorite song by them is 'Right in Two' from 10,000 Days.

that is definitly a tough call for me between Aenima and Lateralus, i dont know if i can decide right now

i think im gonna need a few hours a blunt and my SR-225s to figure this one out

ill get back to you

  Easily one of their best songs.

I really liked opiate, it shows the early beginnings and how they've transformed since then. But the best album was definitely Aenima.

Personally, for me it's either Lateralus or 10,000 Days, although I also like Opiate. Tool's cover of No Quarter is also one of my favorite pieces of music, ever.

But really, I cannot decide between Lateralus and 10,000 Days. I can listen to either album straight through, because they put together excellent instrumental pieces. The lyrical work of 10,000 days might win it for me, but I love the overall musicianship in Lateralus.. but again, 10,000 Days is no slouch there either, only a slightly different style it seems.

Yeah, I'm deciding. Both. No I will not say any other way. I'd prefer a double album of both Lateralus and 10,000 Days. Cannot possibly decide between either. lol

I like the way you think. I think I will recreate your listening experience tonight.

I think aenima has better songs in general, but lateralus is easily my favorite song. Definitely their best live.

10,000 days is to Tool what the "Black" album was to Metallica.

the Black album kicked ass & so does 10K days
so i guess you are right

I only listened to it through once, but wasn't that impressed. Maybe i need to absorb it more. i don't know.

Aenima is my favorite disc, followed by Undertow.

Lateralus is the best song ever made, and Lateralus is their best album. It's really close with Aenima though.
