On a side note, Primus Sucks.
Maybe they'll play Wynona's Big Brown Beaver 3-4 times.
Nah, I bet they would be pretty entertaining live.
Ridiculous IEM from one of the 2016 Tool shows. MJK/Adam are really low in the mix, but there's so much percussion/synth in here it's crazy. There are drum sounds that I have never heard while watching them live.

oh yeah, lasers. there's a crowd somewhere in there.

I missed the point in which they started selling tickets... Because... you know.. I do things in life... Instantly sold out of course, not that it matters since I didn't even think to look for them that night.
Could have paid scalpers but honestly don't want to contribute to a problem. It just fucking sucks that getting a ticket to a live concert is such a pain in the ass. Like pulling teeth.
It's really getting out of control. You figure the first few rows are for friends/family of the band and roadies and shit. After that, it's essentially a free for all. I've literally waited for the clock to strike 10AM, or whatever time tickets go on sale, put in for 'best available' tickets and have been told no matching results. Seconds after they go on sale. SECONDS. It's fucking stupid and I don't even try anymore because it just pisses me off. What I've been doing is waiting for THE DAY of the show I want to attend and buying e-tickets off StubHub. They usually drop below face value because of the time constraints until showtime. I've done this with many big acts - McCartney, Billy Joel, Roger Waters, etc. Hasn't failed yet...........
Just put this on at work.
Awesome tip. Thanks I'll have to try that next time a decent band comes to town. It's really getting out of control. Amex always comes through on getting me tickets to things when they sell out
Through their website or through ticketmaster/live nation? I would imagine you're talking about the Amex site... which makes sense. Just like Chase has 'Chase preferred' seating, Amex probably has the same sort of thing. Those seats aren't made available via TM unless you actually choose 'Chase Preferred' and your CC is verified as Chase. Sometimes these tickets are even sold before tickets go on sale to the general public. This makes the seat selection even less at the venue for a regular buyer. I do have a Freedom CC, but I've never used it to get the preferred seating at any event. The Stubhub method is proved to be working thus far, so I'll stick to it. Scored floor seats for McCartney for about $50 under face value last year. The people selling these WANT to sell them or else they won't make any money at all. You really can't beat it.
