Tool is coming to my town in 2016. And Primus is coming with them. Hopefully your town will get added to this woefully short list soon:

http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/11/tool-confirm-dates-for-2016-us-tour/

Tool 2016 Tour Dates:
01/09 – San Diego, CA @ Viejas Arena *
01/13 – San Antonio, TX @ AT&T Center *
01/16 – Tulsa, OK @ BOK Center *
01/17 – Grand Prairie, TX @ Verizon Theatre *
01/19 – Southaven, MS @ Landers Center *
01/23 – Nashville, TN @ Bridgestone Arena *
01/25 – Atlanta, GA @ Infinite Energy Center *
01/26 – Charlotte, NC @ Bojangles Coliseum *

I've been a Tool fan since the early 90s and fate has kept me from missing them on 3 separate occasions even though I had tickets to those shows. I don't expect fate to relent in this case but will continue to hope that on Saturday, 1/23, I will finally get to see Tool. And also Primus.

*update*
Looks like a 2nd opener is attached as well. A band named 3Teeth that I'm not familiar with at all.

My favorite Tool concert moment:

Maynard: "Repeat after me: Think for yourself."
Crowd: "Think for yourself."
Maynard: "Question authority."
Crowd: "Question authority."
Maynard: "Think for yourself."
Crowd: "Think for yourself."
Maynard: "Question authority."
Crowd: "Question authority."
Mayrnard: (long pause) "And never do what anyone tells you to do."
Crowd: ...oops...

Seen them 4 times. Last time they came 'round my way they played a show in Spokane, WA on a Tuesday night. I'd have had to take a day or two off of work so I didn't make it. Here's hoping that they actually make it to Seattle this year (and release a goddamn new album! :awe:)

No NY or Boston dates ... bummer!

No Northeast dates at all. That's why I'm going to assume dates will be added. Usually artists will add to their tour that is initially announced -- especially if the dates announced are only for 8 shows.... :\

with regards to the past few years, this is a pretty typical tour cycle for tool =X

I would love to see them, Gen Admission.
I don't have anyone to go with me though.
I, too, have loved them since early 90s... and have not seen them yet.

Are you going to get Gen Admin?
If you are going by yourself or a buddy, I would be interested in going with you. :)
(Nashville)

I could scalp a ticket closer to show date.

I've seen them 8 times or so.. they are great live, but their last album was 10 years ago (and wasn't good imo) ... not really in a rush to see them at this point personally.

Well damn, I'm headed away on a trip on the 28th, so I don't think I can swing the 2.5 hour drive to Charlotte two days before. Been wanting to see them live too. Damn.

Who are you to wave your finger? You must have been out your head.

I love that album.

They came to my town, last year. I wasn't able to see them previous times, wasn't going to miss them again. They didn't disappoint.

With their legal issues over, I really hope a new album is out next year...

It's really quite crap for my tastes, 3 or 4 decent tracks surrounded by an album with forgettable songs with really, really terrible lyrics. Even for tool...

I really enjoyed everything up until that point, but it's Tool's "The Final Cut" by Pink Floyd to me.

But... but... Adam Jones on a TALK BOX solo!

you'll be happy to know they only play Jambi and Vicarious (with Pot as a rarity) off that album.

during the Halloween show Adam was getting ready to drop into the talk box solo and...nothing. talk box failed.
