I must say that I enjoyed playing tonight! Shucks that everyone wasn't able to get in, but next time I think we should password protect it so as many ATers as possible can get in (which is probably enough to fill it still). Took me a bit to get warmed up after months of not playing, but also made me realize how much fun TF2 is!

So we got to do this again! Thanks for setting it up KT and appreciate the server TheInternet!

edit: A little bit of 2fort love next time wouldn't hurt. :)

Password might be a good idea for next time.

Honestly, I'm thinking about going completely private, if enough AT'ers have interest to fill it on a semi-regular (once, twice a week) basis.

Cheaper for me, in any case...lol

That was a ton of fun though. :)

Thanks for the game, sorry I had to bail out for dinner, but it was fun. Should do this weekly!

I hopped on until a buddy showed up at my door with a dead hard drive. Thanks for the 5 minutes of fun. That was great when I was at uber, looked at a heavy, typed "go" and then my head exploded. Damn snipers.

I did get to do my favorite thing though...uber a flamethrower. We scared the crap out of those guys.

Great stuff guys, lets do this again soon! Sorry I had to leave early, but duty called!

I definitely agree with the password idea.

That was a ton of fun, especially considering I haven't played TF2 since December. I was able to play for an hour or so, that is until the internet went out.

Yeah I got booted from the server multiple times.

Good fun though. If I could keep TF2 from lagging
every 20 seconds it would be even more fun.

AGAIN!!!

I believe the consensus was that a Friday worked best for most that posted, as well as the poll. We had a good turnout for the game, but as was mentioned, if you didn't show early, you didn't snag a spot. The beauty of TF2 MP is the option to connect when a server spot opened, so thats always an option. That was my first TF2 action since January, at which time I bought CoD4, so it was nice to revisit the game, so hopefully we can make a weekly thing of this.

So what do you think guys, do we need another pol to see when people want to play, or should we just setup a weekly thing and whoever can make it, will just make it?

What do you think?

I think polling would help determine when to do it if you're thinking about changing the time or day.

I'm all about it.

maybe once a month to keep it special. and change the day cuz some ppl who have to work late shift on a Friday will never get their chances. However, I believe 6-7pm PST on a week day is a good time.

That's weird I thought I checked the right server on friday and there were zero people on. I'm sorry I missed the fun. I will definitely be there next go round.

So here's what I'm thinking: we setup two nights per month, one on a Friday night, same time as before as we had a good turnout then and another night two weeks later, but on a Thursday. Thursday was the second most popular choice and I'm sure it would have been higher if Friday had not been winning by a landslide.

I guess what I could probably do is setup another poll asking everyone their first and second choices, then we could go with the two days that win?

What does everyone think?

Is there any reason why it's only twice a month? I think it would be good too if we do it every week. We can alternate the days from week to week; Thursday night this week, Friday night the next, and so forth. So those who can only make it on one of the days can play with other ATers at least twice a month. As long as we have an announcement on this board as well as the AT steam group I believe people wouldn't get confused on the days.

Sounds good.

We could do it every week, the problem with that is it won't be special enough for people to make an effort to log in all the time. Eventually people will get lazy, and just say, "oh I'll just log in another time" counting on someone to always be there, but that won't actually be the case. Its happened before when another member (quosis I think?) offered to host their own CS:S server (paying for it on his own I might add). Many members said they'd be interested, but eventually the server was killed because he couldn't justify paying for a server so few members actually logging in.
