I've decided to wait until Saturday to send the bad RAM back. So until then I'll run on 1GB single-channel.

Should still run pretty well.. if anything I'll turn down the settings a little bit.

I've decided to wait until Saturday to send the bad RAM back. So until then I'll run on 1GB single-channel.

Should still run pretty well.. if anything I'll turn down the settings a little bit.

You should be fine with 1gb, maybe a little slower, but nothing to worry about.

I played for a few hours last night on one of wmd's servers. Noticed a few graphical glitches, but those could've been due to the map (Warpath... forgot the version, but it wasn't 'final').

I'll try to play again tonight and see what happens.

I was thinking.. if we end up with 21+ people signed up, can the limit on the server be increased to like 24 or 28 or something? Only cause on the off-chance that everyone is on at the same time, it'd be nice if we could all play at the same time.

Server renewed already, a day or so before this thread was posted, or I probably would've given it a bump to a 24man.

It could be increased, but it would cost money.

I'm honestly thinking about turning the server into an AT public server (even though it basically is one right now), and accepting donations from people (in exchange for admin, or a reserved slot, etc.), if they like to play on the server. I guess we'll see how Friday goes before we get into all of that.

hlxstats should be active on the server in a few days.

I played some last night and tried to join the guys that were listed, but some were in a CAL tourney game (*gulp*) so I'm sure I'll get my @ss handed to me tonight.

I did have something blow up on me .. I accidentally Alt-Tabbed out of the game and when I tried to get back in my mouse would no longer move around properly. I hope a reboot fixes that, but if you see a guy stuck in a corner looking at his shoes with his flamethrower going, that'll be me. I've got a backup gamer rig just in case things to awry, so I'll roast some weenies one way or another.

I wouldn't worry too much as I'm sure we will have varying levels of ability among the group. I am really only half-way decent with certain classes, though I do play them all. Sometimes I do well, sometimes I do not, but I pretty much always have fun.

I'll probably get owned because I don't think UT3/Battlefield 2 experience translates to TF2. If I'm there you'll see me as a soldier or grenadier though.

Wooo! I haven't had a chance to play TF2, but I should be able to a few hours before we start this tonight.

I pretty much always played Sniper and did pretty well. A lot of people say he is underpowered in TF2 but I don't agree. Otherwise I player Soldier mostly. An update a while ago reduced his ammo to something like 36 to 18?? I haven't played it since, and maybe he needed a slight nerf, not sure about that though!

I also heard it is hard to find servers playing 2fort anymore... shucks that was my favorite one to play. I never warmed up a lot to the CP maps, but we'll see.

Soldier has 20 rockets when he spawns. If you meant Sniper, then I have no idea, because I rarely ever play sniper.

Understandable that would like 2Fort, since you were playing Sniper; that's one of my favourite sniping maps. A lot of people love that map (I do) and a lot of people seem to hate it for some reason.

I actually play Soldier more now since the mini-nerf, though I still think the crit rockets are too frequent.

Anyway it is looking as if we will have a full house tonight. Should be good times! :thumbsup:

Lol, mostly luck, sprinkled with a modicum of skill I guess. It really does depend on the class I'm playing though; I suck with Spy.
