Resulting from a discussion in this thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2172922&enterthread=y we have decided to try and plan a TF2 night for everyone to get together, have some fun, and maybe, just maybe, knock off that pesky friends achievement.

First and foremost, everyone that is interested should make sure they have joined the AT TF2 Steam group here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ATTF2

Second everyone pick what day & time works best for them by voting in the poll. For the "during the day" options, we will figure out a specific time after the fact if one of those options happens to win.

Voting will continue until Monday night, at which point we will setup an event through Steam community.

I never really got into the first TF, but, I'd try TF2 if I knew guys who were playing it.

I'll talk to a few buddies and see if we can't all get it downloaded and play with you guys.

Well I bought that in 2006, when I wanted a solid upgrade path and a
cheap, quick system. So I chose the newer AM2, DDR2 800, PCIex16,
and the Nforce 5 chipset.

Edit - originally paired with 3800+, 7600gs and 1gig DDR2 800

But the other chips didn't seem to be worth the price, as SLI isn't really
of interest to me. I also seem to remember the higher FSB mobos at the
time being outside my range, and wasn't sure how much it would affect
the speed anyway.

And the board itself had decent overclocking in the BIOS, so I figured
the 550 would do the trick.

Have I made some grave error?
