You can solo the first 3 story missions to open up the wings. Just take your time. Ive hit the DZ a few time in our group. So far it rains blue items and DZ credits. Havent seen many players and havent encountered a rogue but there are a heck of a lot more npcs now. They also seem much stronger than the beta versions.

If you need quick gear i would definitely try to DZ a little. Even if you cant extract youll get a decent amount of credits from killing npcs to buy gear from the vendors at the exits and safe house. You can even open a DZ vendor in your base from the security wing.

Also get the advanced weapons vendor upgrade for your security section. Just got my first purple weapon off of there, and it was a 2kdpm upgrade from what I had (8k to 10k).

ok, it was 4 hours until i could play the tutorial. took several more hours to finish the entire game download.

i think the graphics look a bit better than they were at beta.

Soo whats the verdict? Buy? Is it better on console or PC?

I've been following the threads and it may depend on whether you have friends you plan to run with. Say if your friends got it on PS4 then you probably should get it there. If you're going at it more or less solo then probably just up to your preference. It may look better on PC but beyond that the games are the same.

This is mainly why I bought it for ps4. I made some friends with the beta and then I have some coworkers that also got it for the ps4. Its nicer to roam the DZ with a group.

I haven't played since the early beta. Is it time for me to jump into the retail now? I just don't want a bad experience because of bugs and performance.

Little bit drunk, bought this off the back of enjoying the beta. Time will tell if that was a good move or not. At least steam is giving me 24MB/sec download speed!

let's play with an AT team to roam around with. My ingame handle is PixelSquish. My steam account is idiotekniques. Add me!

On that note I can see how to Find Friends from the Map display, but not how to add friends in-game. Anyone?

Bought this on a whim yesterday despite being skeptical. I'm glad I did. It's turned out to be a lot of fun.

Uplay name is DoomSaloon.

Think I am experiencing a bug. changing gear doesn't change my stats like it shows on the screen. doesn't change at all, or if it does change, it goes from like 2700 to 955, instead of 2900.

Also the shooting range in the security wing says you can increase your marksmanship. all i can see is that there is a timer and a target comes up and I guess you shoot as many targets in the allotted time? no skill change or anything that I can see. unless they just mean practice your shooting skills with mouse/controller?

my uplay name for now is Blackfox1911

Sadly I think this is exactly what it means. I haven't seen mention of marksmanship anywhere outside of the shooting range.

Also the stat stuff seems a little buggy on mine too, depending on which piece of equiped gear I'm highlighting the overall stats change drastically.

8/10.

I haven't even touched multiplayer. The game is a solid singleplayer experience.

If DLC's deliver decent amounts of content, I'll consider those too.
Game does have minor bugs, story breaks in few places but overall not bad.
I'll keep an eye on multiplayer aspect before I jump in there but singleplayer/campaign mode alone was decent.

didnt make it before the change to the DZ stuff, buddy is sitting on like 1000 phoenix credits and is DZ rank 60 or some shit, close to dbl the amount of hours i have

Added you. You can also add people from the Uplay PC client and Website.

I'm surprised at how well this actually runs on my GTX 580 1.5 gbs in SLI (at 1080p with lots of things turned down). I got it because I couldn't wait to build a new PC to play this game - and it's a lot of fun. I'm playing on the PC, and I do have one problem - whenever I 'matchmake' to do a mission on Hard, there tend to be some players that really do not belong in the group. But when I joined the 'social chat' (I had to change a setting), there's so much spam in different languages in that chat that I had no chance of finding a group my level.

How does one go about (say I'm going to play for 4-5 hours) trying to find a group to get a couple of missions done and roam around a bit? I got into the game on my friend's PS4 and I guess it was easier because he has a very active friends list, whereas no one on my Steam friends list plays. (I play EU timezones...for anyone interested).

I just picked it up. Fun game so far. The Ui though.. man its way more confusing than it needs to be. Especially making esc the back button. I need to see if I can go through and reassign some of those hot keys.
