they just need to go back to the leather helmet, that offered like zero protection
prob will fix itself as people wont want to lead with their head

does anyone know if Rugby or Aussie Football players have issues with CTE after they stop playing. because both of those sports don't use a helmet like the NFL does but they absolutely beat the shit out of each other on the filed

The NFL's report is in and:

"Wells report: 'More probable than not' Patriots manipulated footballs"

http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/05/06/deflategate-new-england-patriots-investigation-wells-report

DOH!

I'm sure ESPN, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc. will be apologizing to the patriots organization aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany time now
And when NE is exonerated for deflate gate. Hopefully, this happens, Indy another cheating organization.Hurley: Failed DeflateGate Accusations Mean It’s Time For Irsay, Pagano To Be Banned From NFL

OUCH!

So, they have zero proof the Patriots did anything. And I love how they continue to parrot that Bill Nye "debunk". His statement was only about rubbing the balls together and nothing about the temperature, atmospheric pressure, or elasticity of leather when wet.

I bet next we will here how the Patriots deflated Carroll's brain and caused him to throw the game. >_>

With the NFL investigation into Deflategate concluding that it is probable the Patriots deliberately deflated footballs and that Tom Brady was "generally aware,"

I'm unsure why people aren't in arms over this. Not an accident, not unknown.

Gotta love the "probable" conclusion as well. Oh, I'm not going to say yes or no like I should after an investigation. I'll just dig far enough to know it smells and stop.

This whole thing stinks. Getting real tired of the head office shit with the NFL.

It does, but I really don't care at this point. The balls had no effect on the game as far as I'm concerned. I just wanted to post the report to get my laughs when Patriots fans whine and declare a conspiracy or some other nutty scenario. :D This report must be the "apology" so many Patriots fans said would be coming from the NFL. :D

As much as I personally believe that the Pats are guilty of tampering with the balls' air pressure, unfortunately, there's just no "smoking gun" to prove it. No videos of anyone intentionally deflating the balls...no witnesses coming forward to say that they saw it...no guilty person coming forward to admit doing it...so..."PROBABLY" is the best we're gonna get.

If they were doing it, it's because it helped them. It's why people break rules... Why would you risk X for 0 gain? You wouldn't and an organization as smart as a NFL team wouldn't either. One of their biggest jobs is risk evaluation.

I read about the fumble rate thing, which seemed interesting, but I stopped following it.

The Colts were going to lose that game regardless and it was insane for the Patriots to risk it. They literally could just keep handing off and they'd beat the Colts by 30 points.

The Pats could have replaced their footballs with solid gold statues of Bill Belichick strangling an orphan and still won by 20. It's such a silly thing to do, and then get caught doing.

Probable ==> we want to think so, but there is no proof other than bias against them.

Innuendo

The text messages, and lack of full cooperation by NE, aren't very flattering.

NE fans will point to the lack of incontrovertible proof as evidence this was an unfair complaint but the text messages strongly indicate the low pressure in every ball was not just due to cold weather but also preparations by the staff. My guess is they were "wearing in/out" the balls and filling right to the lower boundary and the weather pushing them below the limit. If that was the case it would have helped them to present such a case because as it sounds now more malicious than fanatical preparation.

Wait, you think they did it for only one game? The biggest game on the books? No fucking way, this is something you test, a lot.

You don't need to analyze how much it helped, or even if it helped (you're 100% right that the balls didn't decide the SB). The only question is: did they do it intentionally?

If they did, probably (lol), then the punishment should be pretty severe.

Of course not -- cheaters never get caught the first time unless they're REALLY dumb, and with the Patriots' history of cheating, they're experts at hiding it. :D

Oh yeah, I know, and they should be punished. Likewise, if the Colts deflated those 3 balls, they should be punished as well regardless of whether or not it helped.

Ha Ha! "Probably" was the perfect term to use. It basically puts football back on the front burner and allows both Patriot haters and lovers to argue that they "won" the argument.

So what? The Patriots needed every "trick" in their book to beat the Ravens.
