So the Colts cheated by pumping the their balls above approved levels?

Too can play that game.

No, it was stated right from the get-go that the Colts balls were around 13-13.1 pre-game and the Pat's 12.5. What this points out is obvious, they didn't get around to measuring the Colt's ball's till the end of half-time so they had a full 20 minutes to come up in PSI vs the Pat's ball's which were whisked off the field and measured promptly. Now none of this excuses the "deflator" texts and it may well be in a DIFFERENT game that they were altered but the Well's report insists the Ref used the gauge that suits THEIR findings DESPITE the Ref to his best recollection saying he used the other. Gotta love ESPN burying this way deep in the NFL pages when they had no issue giving front-page headlines burying Brady when they could ca$h in on it, fucking sleazebags. Here's the entire report and these guys seem a lot smarter than anyone Well's had working for his $5 million ass.http://www.aei.org/publication/on-wells-report/

What's worse is how the Wells data intepreted the Math and Science. They basically argue that though the Pats balls are a closer match to the theoretical PSI's calculated by the ideal gas law, because the Colts balls didn't deflate by as much then the Pats had to have deflated their balls.

They should have looked at why the Colts balls weren't closer to the theoretical PSI's they calculated.

The NFL needs to be punished for leaking that the Pats balls were deflated by 2 PSI, a complete lie, that's what caused the whole media circus.

While I doubt tampering occurred in the AFCCG the text's do not lie, I'm not buying "the deflator" as a guy who was on a diet LOL. But the NFL should have just slapped a $200K fine on the Pat's and be done with it, it was an equipment violation for God's sake, they didn't catch a Pat's employee trying to swipe a Colt's playbook.

Honestly this doesn't make sense. The text you reference was sent in Nov 2014. In October 2015, we also have a 2nd set of texts where Brady is angry that the balls were 16 PSI. Again, you still haven't answered how those 2 texts make sense when taken together. If they were cheating and had a sophisticated process to do so, how is it that in October 2015, they didn't deflate the balls after the Refs checked them causing them to be above 16PSI (about 3 pounds above the high legal limit) and Brady to be very upset. It seems you can't have it both ways.

That subsequent text seems proof positive that there was no deflating going on at least up to October 2015, and a year after that "deflator" text which in your words "doesn't lie" was sent. So, what again does that "deflator" text prove? This is the problem you encounter when have predetermined the outcome of an investigation and then have tried to manipulate the facts to make your case.

The media narrative is changing on deflategate, Goodell fucked up big time:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...6-11e5-89f3-61410da94eb1_story.html?tid=sm_tw

Many have felt that the report was a directed hatch job. Deliberately ignoring items, taking thing out of context. A vendetta

As more and more of it has been analyzed; the suspicions are being validated.
In a legal court, the report would be laughed out; does the NFL want to continue to show that knee jerk reactions are the norm?

I don't even know how the wells report could ever be impartial. This was always an NFL vs. Patriots issue where the NFL intently tried making the Patriots out to be villains (i.e. leaking false PSI loss numbers to the media), while not investigating the NFL for the leaks which caused the scandal to blow up in the first place. The NFL could never be impartial because they paid Wells MILLIONS to do the investigation. And they did the same with the Saint's Bountygate (jonathan vilma took that case to court and got his conviction overturned based on actual evidence too). Wells is getting repeat business from the NFL over these scandals and isn't acting as an independent investigator.

lol @ butthurt pats fans. Go cry a river.

When your boys have a pattern of pushing the limits of the rules, you get called out for everything. Enjoy your asterisk-bowl trophy.

Haha, exactly.

<-- one of said non-pats fans.

KT

so am i. i don't give a shit about the pats, but this whole thing is so blown out of proportion and much-a-do about nothing.

i personally think the whole goal of this was to keep the NFL as the #1 story during the offseason. and it worked.

Same.

Not a Pats fan. Do not think any of their wins are tarnished, despite spygate and deflategate.
These "cheats", even if they happened, did not give any significant advantage, IMO.

Not a Pats fan... the only thing that makes this so stupid is they they won by a landslide in said game. Possibly it helped them in previous closer calls, but no way of knowing so I'd rather not spin any wheels thinking about it.

was this article published simply because NHL is over, NBA is over, and the NFL just can't bear to go a single week in the year without seeing its name in the papers?

while part of me wants to say fuck the pats. Part of me is rooting for the pats to win the SB next year!

this story seems like the NFL is trying to fuck over the pats. seems the wells cherry picked the info they used.

either way it's entertaining. i hope it keeps going.

"Deflate-gate"?, Well's report laughably bad, greatest comeback in the history of the SB against one of the fiercest defenses seen in many years.

"Vinatieri"?, gee, I wonder who got him into FG position, TWICE..

"Tuck rule"?, dumb rule (and one that hurt the Pat's as well) but certainly had ZERO with Walt Coleman calling it. Oh, the Raiders had the ball 1st in OT and did NOTHING and had a chance to stop the Pat's from driving into FG range and did NOTHING.

"Spy-gate" OK, show us how taping signals (which coaches change frequently anyway) from an illegal spot gets you a ring?. Lets not forget that the Patriots were doing a walk-through before beating the Rams when a house across the street had a 3rd floor window open WITH A TELESCOPE MOUNTED IN IT, POINTED AT THE FIELD...link

You can hate on Brady till smoke pours out of your ears and that's your right but the simple fact remains....G O A T.....

A simple voice of common sense here, nice to see it.

If it makes no difference why do it?
