makes sense to me.

but, there are still people here who believe that being able to afford a Bentley means you should always be happy.

If I had a Bentley, I would be happy.

I'll bet they aren't.

It's always sad when someone reaches the point where they attempt to take their own life.

Oh! I'm so sad! I make millions and millions of dollars and I'm a pompus asshole but I'm so sad that I'm going to try and hurt myself!!!!

I think we should have the death penalty for suicide survivors.

Nothing is more pathetic than failing a suicide attempt
eh, i don't expect people who don't possess an ounce of compassion to know what i am talking about.

Wow. You're a sad little person now aren't you? I'm certainly no fan of T.O., but for gods sake, have a LITTLE sympathy for someone who had obviously reached rock bottom.

HE'S A STAR PLAYER IN THE NFL???? WTF is this rock bottom BULLSHIT?
can you really be that much of a dumbass?
people in high paying, and even highly respected or prestigious positions can become suicidal due to mental illness.

I wouldnt be so quick to judge TO and say hes just a spoiled celebrity who had everything handed to him on a silver platter. The dude worked his ass off his whole life more than anyone on this board has likely ever done and all he ever hears is people talkign sh|t about him 24/7. The problem is that the same drive that allows someone to work so hard to be successfull at something can also work against them when things start going wrong.

I, for one, am going to go home, cry and pray with all of the empathy I have for TO.

ahahahahah. Just kidding. I guess I need to read more psychology books....

ahahahahah. Just kidding again. He can afford the best therapists in the world. He can afford to make today the last day of his entire life that he works. He can leave the country and start a new life, crusing from pacific island to island on his yacht with his girlfriend and his son.

To quote Dennis Leary "I'm just not happy- " "SHUT THE FVCK UP!!!"

What part of "making money playing a game" do you not understand? It's like Kurt Cobain. Same concept.

Yes, because like Barry Bonds he's never, EVER done anything that would make people think he's a douchebag. All the hating around him is just people jealous of his star status and athletic ability. :disgust:

As for people saying money doesn't equal happiness, you're absolutely right. But if TO was unhappy with the NFL and people bagging on him, he had A LOT more means than any of us to do something about it like retire and move to somewhere and live in relative seclusion out of the public spotlight. Unless he's a complete idiot with his finances, he'd be fine for the rest of his life if he retired after this season.

It is so wonderful that your egocentric self induced focus of what would make you happy in your fantasies while ignoring the psychological, emotional and or physical pain of another can lead them down paths that you can't fathom because you are not them. As others have said take your head out of your selfish world constructs of what equates happiness and expand your horizons. Guess what? Depression, pain, sadness and unsound mental processes are not constricted to the middle and lower classes. You sir deserve a

See, here is my issue with millionaires... they can quit any time they want and leave the country and go somewhere in seclusion. They chose that lifestyle. They don't like it quit and do something else. How hard is it really to quit and do something else with your life. You have the money to do lots of other things with your life. No sympathy from me.

they can quit and live in hiding. great option.

all i'm saying is that i find it humorous that people make these statements without knowing even slightly what it's like to be famous and in the public eye.

i'm not saying our hearts should be bleeding for TO or other athletes/celebrities, but is it that hard to try and imagine how difficult that life could be?

Um.... yeah it is! 3 words.... DAVE ****** CHAPPELLE... nuff said
They guy walked away from $50 million dollars, fame, stress and all the crap celebreties gotta deal with. If he can do it so can T.O.

That's right because everyone is Dave Chappelle  . Honestly, the egocentrism in this thread is astounding. Everyone is different and has different psychological constructs that makes them react differently in every situation. Last I checked Dave Chappelle is not TO. Why does anyone do the crazy things they do? Do you really believe that if TO went into hiding or to Africa he wouldn't be hounded? Get real. Until you have walked in another's shoes and lived their pain you have no business soapboxing their lives predicated on your fantasies or what you would do in their place.

Edit: And for the record, I have never "liked" TO as a football player because of his apparent locker room division but most definitely don't give a sh@t about football in comparison to his health as a human being.

So, TO attempts suicide on the very same day that Tokyo Rose dies?

Coincidence? I think NOT! ;)

But really, Terrell, pills? That's more of a girly-girl cry for help than a real suicide attempt. I mean, come on, TO, you're a football player, haven't you ever heard of employing the shotgun when you're hopelessly behind? :p

Read the front story on DallasCowboys.com, or read the ENTIRE article on ESPN (not just the misleading first paragraph). It includes a statement from the police as well as the publicist, and several others. Would appear he did NOT attempt suicide.

If TO plays against the Eagles in Philly, the taunting and signs that go up during that game will make booing Santa Claus look like nothing.
