I know ppl who are really depressed and HAVE A REASON to kill themselves. People who have cancer or some horribly painful disease, people who lost their whole families from a drunk driver, people who lost both arms and legs, people who live in 3rd world countries starving and sufferring day in and day out.... this guy has NO EXCUSE to kill himself. He can leave this country anytime and quit playing a fvcking game that pays him millions to play not work.

The only way I'll change my mind is if a certified psychiatrist says he is a manic depressive and has been dealing with depression for years undiagnosed and needs long term treatment and medication. But if he is just dealing with a moment of depression or short term depression than he is weak and deserves no sympathy. The guy has a kid and killing himself is selfish and cowardly making him a quitter.

Again, I am not condoning what he tried to do, I am simply saying he doesn't deserve the

"too bad he didn't succeed"
"good"
"next time I'll help him comments"

comments he is getting from this board.

As stated at the press conference by his publicist.

Until it comes out that he has some sort of mental condition that makes him prone to suicidal ideation or facts are finally revealed that prove that this is just a big misunderstanding, he is deserving of absolutely everything he is getting in this thread. He is Terrell Owens, the king of all attention whores.

Typical case of a big-headed celebrity who always wanted more instead of finding enjoyment in what he did and being happy. This doesn't surprise me. Call me an asshole, but I think it's a valid assessment.

Given that you are so tight with TO and you know everything about him and his lifestyle, I guess I can take your word for gospel.

ESPN now let go to Michael Erving to gets his take on the subject.

Give me a break. If anybody knows how to lie about drugs, dallas cowboys, and the dallas cop reports it Erving.

Gawd, I hope TO plays agains our Iggles next week.

I was actually in the stands at old Franklin Field (it's last year as the Eagles home stadium, IIRC) when yet another Cowboy's WR of sterling personal habits came down! And we stalwarts of the "Quart A Quarter Club*" joined in the raucous, game long salute to him!

Yup, I'm talking about Lance Rentzel, who, though married to Joey Heatherton at the time, had recently been arrested for exposing himself to a 13 year old girl on the street.

I can still hear the dulcet tones of "LANTZ, LANTZ TAKE DOWN YOUR PANTS!" rolling endlessly out of the stands. Ahhh, good times and better memories: I was home, I was alive, I was reasonably in one piece, and dem Boo-Birds wuz singing!

*QQC -- at the time, you could pretty much bring anything into FF for an Eagles game. The tradition was to bring a gallon of cheap wine for, you know, it's well documented health effects, and then throw the empty containers off the top of the stadium onto the Pennsy RR tracks below. We were, how you say, slap-happy morons, to be sure, no way around that. <shrug>

So TO's version is

1. I took the pills out of the bottle and separated them out with my suppliments.
2. I took my regular dose.
3. I accidentally mixed in a couple of "extra" pain pills with my suppliments. (2 or 3)
4. At that point the drugs took over and I became incoherent. (Or had an allergic reaction - a consistant flip flop made by both TO and Kim)
5. My publicist came over, saw the empty bottle and freaked.
6. I was out of it and don't remember answering any questions.

The conflict that kept coming up in both TO's statement and Kim's statement that rings my BS alarm:
1. He accidentally took a few extra pills.
2. He had an allergic reaction to the meds.

He'd been on the meds for a week. No allergic reaction. You're allergic or you're not.

But... I've seen the adverse effects even small amounts of correctly prescribed medications can have on a person's mental processes. While TO probably said yes, he took the pills and yes, he meant to harm himself, he might also have said yes, he was the Easter Bunny and yes, he had 24 fingers, if he had been asked those questions. The report could be accurate without being correct.
Stop being so reasonable and evenhanded and comprhehensably intelligent about all this, damn it! This is Sports and Celebrity Gossip all mixed into one, there's simply no room for your superior intellect here! :p

Okay, so I think he's an overpaid jerk with an overinflated sense of his importance to the sport who "can't quite remember" what happened and who has a publicist who "can't quite remember" what happened. She was chewing gum, for goodness sake, which destroys any professional credibility she might have had with me.

hahahhaa so i read through these 9 pages with a lot of laughter, to voice my opinion... yes he deserves all the flame in this post (less he gives statement personally saying that he is indeed a mental case)...... and he is indeed flamboyant attention whore who should have been removed from NFL last season :p I hope his carreer ends, and I also hope he gets empty prescription bottles thrown at him if it doesn't. and i hope nobody gives him sympathy, tho i'm sure a lot will. and i will laugh for another 10 minutes b/c he is a pompous idiot. call me unpassionate, unhearted, a jerk, or whatever else.. i'll still be the one laughing at his sorry a$$

QFT.

Idiot didnt realize the difference in pills!?! BUhahaha! Yeesh. Given his access to medical care you'd think he'd know if these so called supplements are gonna react with his meds at certain doses.

And how about that ending statement by the publicist as she walked away - she said that TO "has 25 million reasons to live." I think that just confirms TO cares more for the money than he does for the sport and for the team.

Technically, if he had an allergic reaction, he'd probably be dead. Im sure he means adverse reaction. Im sure 95% of pro athletes know exactly everything that is going in, around, or near their bodies. To "accidentally" ingest a bunch of pills is a load of crap.
