So i am one of those online players who do not change anything like the character, loadouts etc. I just go default and go at it. What are the more experienced players thinking the best weapon and Titan is? I prefer playing as a pilot though and have my Titan follow and guard

He didn't throw Microsoft under the bus. Those posts were made before launch day. I really can't tell if you just have a very esoteric sense of humor or are just in here seeing how close you can get to being an outright troll without being told to GTFO.

He's talking about the "cloud servers" that MS had hyped for so long with the XB1. I guess for kiddie gamers this is some new and exciting thing, but for anyone who associates with IT it is nothing new. It's a matter of gaming firms finally investing money in proper infrastructure. It had better mean that TF games never resemble a piss ass COD P2P match.

There isn't much weapon wise to change. For my pilot I choose assault and the carbine, auto pistol, parkour, grenade. For titan I use assault and the 40mm round gun, nuclear ejection, and the blast shield.

If we get the auto pistol at level 1 then how come mine does not lock on to anyone ? It did in the training.

On my pistol if I hold down the left mouse button it just sprays a burst of bullets.
 
Do you level up faster if you do the campaign mode ? I don't have a good Mic for the pc anyway. Not sure if one would be required for the online campaign.

auto and smart pistols are different things.

smart pistol is a primary weapon.

I did level up faster than the beta, but I think it is just because of the huge amount of challenges. There were a couple matches where with all my bonuses, I was pulling in 25,000 XP. Make sure you do the campaign modes for both sides since that is how you unlock the other Titans. I am loving the Ogre.

You have it, and one of the default classes has that as the main weapon as well.

I don't really think the smart pistol is overpowered at all. You can destroy grunts with it but it doesn't lock on to pilots that fast and has limited range.

At this point I think people are still trying to figure out this game and what weapons work, the smart pistol is just neat but it not the best gun to be using.
 
Thanks for the info I'll try it out on campaign mode. If people are required I dunno anyone on pc to play with. But my guess is it will throw you in with others looking to do the campaign.

Smart anything in a game is just BS. Auto aim gun? That's worse than smart heals in WoW. Yeah lets have a computer do all the work server side instantly faster than your human opponents can ever hope to be in a competitive vs mode epeen based game. Great great idea.

Whoever thought this was a good idea in any game needs to have his nuts crushed in a press.

Have you played the game to see it yet? The range isn't great and it takes a while to lock on to human players. But I'm guessing you are just talking out your ass on a game you have no interest in again.

Its just the principle of auto anything being put into a competitive game in the first place.

That's just really vague. Why not require some crazy long button combination input to reload guns? Why not require button presses alternating to make your legs make you walk? Certain things should be easy to do and certain things should have a tight learning curve with rewards for skill investment.

The smart pistol is a far cry from auto winning engagements. Smart pistol users aren't even noticeably harder to deal with than others.
 
bah, just ordered it from amazon. it'll give me something to play over the weekend other than killer instinct. i actually haven't been playing xbox1 (or ps4) much in general. only usually a couple hours on the weekend.

Heh so much like me you caved. I wasn't going to get it, then I was in wait and see mode, then I said "what the hell I need some games anyway" and bought it.

Ok cool...gonna do that first then. Unfortunately I still can't sign in to XBL. This is going on 24 hours now. I have tried the full restart as MS suggests and still no go. Gonna wait a bit then try again.

Yeah, I might grab this Friday. I have Dark Souls 2, but my Xbox One time has been going down (except for watching TV lol). A couple friends have finally gotten X1s and picked up Titanfall, so I will at least have someone to play with.
 
Good thing I found that slickdeals thread and was able to get it for a good price. I don't have friends on pc to play with but I don't think it's a requirement for this game. I initially was not going to buy it but now I have something to hold me over until infamous.
