damn, wish I had that much time. Actually, game is so fast and furious, I need a break every hour or so.
I really haven't played that much. I played for about 3-4 hours on tuesday and 2 hours last night. I just happened to be finishing a bunch of challenges. In fact, with three more Spectre kills I will completely finish off the carbine.

Interesting that your headset doesn't have issues that some report.

I'm surprised anybody's headsets have issues. In the end, it's a common 3.5mm standard jack, the only compatibility issue is if you have the wrong type of plug.

This is the Y-adapter I ordered:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As long as the single 3.5 jack that plugs into the headset adapter has the 3 rings to transmit right, left and mic, you should be good.

Sorry I didn't type that out right. At those levels, you get a 5 pack of random cards.

Ah...I thought perhaps you meant you got some of the more rare cards at those levels specifically.

Yeah I have that adapter(or rather one identical in function). The thing is the adapter on the controller is mixing game and voice audio together and routing it through your headset's electronics. Perhaps it's the microphones on some headsets that are causing the problem. I was wondering if someone were to plug only the chat audio cable into the controller and receive the game audio from a receiver or other source if the problem would persist. In American Gunner's case it seems like doing voice through the controller and game audio from optical produces a bit of static from the mic. I'm thinking it's headset specific, or rather microphone specific.

See I don't think that has anything to do with it, because when I just run the game and chat audio through the adapter, it still has the static issues.

Which is why I am lead to believe it's an issue with certain microphones on the headset. It doesn't appear to be totally universal which makes it a ah heck to figure out a fix.

My original question to you was trying to determine if doing both from the controller caused a problem or not. After blurredvision said he didn't seem to have issues running both through the controller, it doesn't seem like that's the problem.

Yeah I hit up Xbox support and they specifically asked me for my gamertag and the model of the headset I was using. I didn't understand the need for the GT, but hopefully it gets fixed. I don't really want to spend money on a new headset since I just got these a year ago.

I'm broadcasting my game tonight if anybody's interested. I'm not that great but I'm broadcasting for a friend at work and figured I'd share the link.

http://www.twitch.tv/Khophace

If anybody does check it out, I'd be interested to see how the experience is. I have the stream quality cranked up, wondering if it'll do OK or not.

Watched a bit now and the video keeps lagging out and getting pixelated. I don't know if it's twitch or what. When it works it's about the same quality you get from the PS4.

It's introducing a ton of lag on my side. Probably won't keep it running long.

Probably streaming while playing online is causing problems. I just started up the game to continue the campaign myself.

I have a 30/5 connection, I would think it could handle it. Even after I turned it off last night, I still had moments in every single game thereafter where my screen would blur and I'd get the message that it was reconnecting. I probably played another 10 matches last night and that would happen at least 3-4 times per match. Once, it reconnected me but the blur didn't go away on the screen, I was running around and couldn't make out anything. It even lasted into my next life but once I hit the menu button, it snapped back to reality.

Hrm...I haven't had that happen. You can select your server region and see what your ping is, but it autoselects the best one for you anyway. Ping doesn't tell you the whole story either, maybe something between you and the servers is causing packet loss.

So far I have only had minor hiccups with the game where it would rubberband. I think it only happened 3 or 4 times total for me. I am on a 105/20 internet connection but any connection can experience packet loss due to something outside of your network or ISP. Also remember this is the first game ever to leverage Microsoft Azure server hosting. I am sure some of these issues are growing pains and like Respawn said, a lot of devs are watching what happens because they are afraid of doing offsite server hosting and relying on someone else to handle the network for them. They want to see how this works out. It is both good and bad. It is good that they don't have to handle it and they wouldn't have the money for the type of infrastructure MS can offer but at the same time they have to tell angry customers who may have problems that there is nothing they can do since it is basically Microsoft's problem to figure out.

My pings last night to the server was around 50-60ms, which is the highest I've seen. During the beta, I was 20-30ms. The only thing I can think of is that my console is only getting around a 80% signal from my wireless router, which has been a problem ever since I upgraded my internet and TWC made me start using a new modem with the wireless router built-in. My old router was MUCH better and more powerful.

I think this weekend, my goal is to either re-position my crap router to get a better signal or just hook my old router back up and try to configure it so it's the main router and get that TWC box back to just being a modem. It's either that or get in the crawlspace and run a new ethernet cord to the living room (my preferred option but the most work).

Just run the cable through the living areas if it's long enough as a test. If performance improves you know it's probably the router.

I hit 25 I got my rare cards, 3 of them. Is it pack of 5, and did I lose the other 2 b/c my deck might have been full? Anyhow, that maphack one is mad cheap. It's not a rare either, I don't think. I've been trying my best to use them all so I can keep my deck fresh, but I gotta start getting rid ones that I might no use often at all, and just save/collect op ones like maphack, aural implant. It's tough to decide though b/c I like the super charge and other titan core cards for Last Titan Standing. Everymode in this game is fun. I don't have a favorite.

If it is anything like the new technicolor gateways comcast uses there isn't a way to put it in modem only mode that I found. I can turn off the wifi and use my other router's wifi but luckily it is actually pretty good so i dont need to. Even if I am 100% wired throughout the house with cat6, the wifi is pretty good from it. Best of luck getting it worked out. I kind of wish I could just put mine into modem only mode and use my router with tomato on it since I have more control but it is fine so I am leaving well enough alone.

If you need help getting this set-up properly, PM me with the model numbers of both routers and I will set you up with the right configuration.

I appreciate the offer. I should be able to figure it out but will reach out if I hit a wall. I have multiple Microsoft certs and work in IT, but my networking skills are still pretty basic. I let better people take care of that type of stuff. :)

Hey BV,

FWIW I'm an IT Director with over 25 years in the industry, and I have some great advice for you if you really want to get the best out of your TWC / home network.

(1)- Get a good Docsis 3.0 Motorola. They are the best of the best for cable modems, and you can get TWC to drop the modem lease from your bill by using your own modem :

http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-SURFb.../dp/B007IMPMW4

They are EXTREMELY good, far better than pack-in modems, and far FAR better than the AIOs that they hand out. The 6141 doesn't have any cheap wireless junk or limited configuration aspects, it's just a focused product that does an exceptional job of making the absolute best of any cable internet connection. The AIOs that are handed out by TWC and others are heavy on compromise, because of many reasons too boring to go into here, but can be summed up as : they're 'good enough' for most. But why settle for that? The wireless ability of the AIOs are mediocre.

(2)- Get a GOOD router (or start using your old one again if you were satisfied with it). There are two ways to look at this. If you want a lot more features and specific controls, along with blistering speeds on local file transfers, get a well reviewed Asus router.

This is a higher-end model :

http://www.amazon.com/RT-AC68U-Wirel...asus+ac+router

and something like this is still quite good, and a better $ for $ value :

http://www.amazon.com/802-11ac-Wirel...asus+ac+router

And if you want something that's extremely good and ludicrously easy to work with (I recommend these all the time to clients that just want something that immediately works and is rock stable for years), then an Airport is the ticket :

High end AC :

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-AirPort-...irport+extreme

Midrange N but still excellent :

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-AirPort-...irport+extreme

---------------------------

Happy gaming :)

*snip*

Getting my own modem and dropping the stupid lease fee is something I've always wanted to do, I've just not really considered it seriously because I've heard horror stories about TWC support when you do. This might actually be my best option instead of fooling around with my current proposed setup.

This is the router I have that hasn't been used since upgrading to the TWC modem/router:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Absolutely love it, it's been rock solid. I miss it :(.

Oh man, that is a great router, definitely go back to that then, no reason to drop $$$ on a new one (though if it dies, get an Asus or Apple, they're both superb).

As for the TWC modem lease, I can tell you thankfully that it's really quite painless. Basically you call in, tell them what you want to do, they'll have you read the MAC address of the modem (listed on the box and the modem itself), they have you plug it in, and boom, after they get the number linked to your account, you're good to go!

It was one of the first things I did when I got TWC at my new place, it's the best option where I'm at now (I came from FIOS, which was awesome but pricey, but that's a whole nother story).

You can also use the TWC online chat support to request the switchover as well. But yeah, it's super straightforward. Basically all they need to know is that you want to use your own modem (so they can drop the lease fee), and what the MAC number is. Good to go!

Oh, forgot to add : had no internet during a big winter storm, and called support to get info, and didn't run into any trouble because of my modem. Tech was able to connect to it and run diagnostics on the line strength with no difficulties, nor did he make me feel like a Ted Kaczynski social rebel for not being yet another modem leaser :D

I'm using a Motorola sb6120 and its been great not needing to rent from Comcast. My router is a lynksys e1200. Gonna check the ones arkaign linked when I want to upgrade. I'm using Ethernet adapters on my ps4 now since they work suprisingly and the ps4 wireless card sucks. Even 8 feet away I would get iffy speed. With the adapters I get around 30mb down with a 50mb connection. I know they aren't optimal for everyone but I'm glad they work for me.
