If you could post your current "beta welcome thread" here, all of us could take a look at it and maybe we canc ome up with some more stuff to change/add.
I was hoping to get more input from members before making the list final. So far only you & Rattledagger have made any suggestion on which projects to list.Originally posted by: BlackMountainCow
Why do you still have ??? tint he list?
These could go into Fardringles BOINC thread, if they aren't there already. Sound good?Originally posted by: BlackMountainCow
At the bottom of the BOINC projects, I'd add a line saying that there are also other projects, which are still in development/testing/alpha/beta/closed testing, but never the less worth a look or two if they interest the reader of the thread, such as:
- TANPAKU (http://issofty17.is.noda.tus.ac.jp/index_E.php)
- Spinhenge@Home (http://spin.fh-bielefeld.de/index.php)
- NanoHive@Home (http://www.nanohive-1.org/atHome/)
- Docking@Home (http://docking.utep.edu/)
- Proteins@Home (http://biology.polytechnique.fr/proteinsathome/)
- Chess960 (http://www.chess960athome.org/alpha/)
- Project Neuron (http://neuron.mine.nu/neuron/)
- XtremeLab
- BURP
- MAYBE here as well: PlanetQuest
- MAYBE here as well: Orbit@Home

2. Do you want to include Cuboid? Where - as a project in testing since it's short, or what?
3. Do you want to include some of the links from your SoB stats threads? (Partly a shameless plug for SBQueue.)

Yeah, i'm definately going to need help on wich projects to add & drop. But you need to remove the "Find-a-Drug" entry, that is long over
Seems to me the only projects listed in the welcome thread should be currently active, TeAm run projects. No sense in listing projects we don't even have a team for.

Any harm in a newbie starting TA in a new project?![]()
Well, both claims you needs 17 MB free disk-space to run Rosetta@home, but the reality is you needs 191 MB free disk-space to get any Rosetta@home-work...For HD space requirements, internet traffic & work unit times for each project, look ...
Well, for the released BOINC-projects, the Wiki does have this info.Originally posted by: BlackMountainCow
- good point about the HD reqquirements, I didn't know that. But what to do?
Not at all. But we need to draw the line somewhere.Originally posted by: Assimilator1

Not really, but I doubt that a newbie will find a new project before anyone else of us does.![]()
QMC "Our project has reached beta test phase."Originally posted by: The Borg
Hi there,
Looking good. I may be mistaken but I cannot find QMC in the list.

Also, why not put the link for BOINC in the heading for projects running under BOINC after the heading. To me it looks a little funny seeing as it is underlined.
Great work.
