I propose Geforce 4 MX vs. Radeon 9800 SE. We'll benchmark them in FEAR with soft shadows on and winner takes all :thumbsup:

My only question is - if we allow Rollo to SLI two Geforce 4 MXs (with the new bridgeless Nvidia drivers), should we also allow someone to voltmod and bios flash a 9800 SE to X800 XT PE specs? After all, we've gotta be fair about this.

well, i just bit the bullet and ordered an A8N32 for dual x16 SLI, and I'll be getting that started this holiday when i get back to the states.

I've always liked ATi stuff, and I look forward to Crossfire, but IMO it won't be mature for a while, and I'm going to need the bandwidth soon. In any case, Nvidia seems to have the price edge on most stuff anyway.

QFT, Nvidia has done a fantastic job in '05 and ATI has had their days also and now there is a new generation coming out, Niether of these companies will hold a crown for long, I think they pwn themselves

Good point about the boxes, my 9800 pro box was the biggest, most badass box i've ever seen, my 6600GT came in something that looked like a shoebox but shallower
