We need a more demanding test!

I propose Geforce 4 MX vs. Radeon 9800 SE. We'll benchmark them in FEAR with soft shadows on and winner takes all :thumbsup:

My only question is - if we allow Rollo to SLI two Geforce 4 MXs (with the new bridgeless Nvidia drivers😉), should we also allow someone to voltmod and bios flash a 9800 SE to X800 XT PE specs? After all, we've gotta be fair about this.
 
well, i just bit the bullet and ordered an A8N32 for dual x16 SLI, and I'll be getting that started this holiday when i get back to the states.

I've always liked ATi stuff, and I look forward to Crossfire, but IMO it won't be mature for a while, and I'm going to need the bandwidth soon. In any case, Nvidia seems to have the price edge on most stuff anyway.
 
Dawn can fly and Ruby cannot.
Nalu can breathe underwater and Ruby cannot.
Ruby would be a fish out of water at that point. 😛
 
Having Nvidia in your system attracts THREE TIMES as many girls as ATI does.

Case in point:
NVidia: Dawn, Dusk, Nalu
ATI: Ruby (possible transexual)

QFT, Nvidia has done a fantastic job in '05 and ATI has had their days also and now there is a new generation coming out, Niether of these companies will hold a crown for long, I think they pwn themselves
as a matter of fact I think that ATI is going to get my money this year, unless their next gen is soft, then I will go with the 7800GT.

Pfft, who cares about the women. Box art is where it's all at. For example, look at the badass shield/axe thing on the box of the 9200, or the spiked mask on the box of the 9600. ATi pwns nVidia.

Good point about the boxes, my 9800 pro box was the biggest, most badass box i've ever seen, my 6600GT came in something that looked like a shoebox but shallower 🙁
