Three Muslim Students Murdered at UNC

CNN reports that an "antitheist" has used the murder of 3 innocent and promising Muslim students to vent his hatred toward religion. This is the first murder I have heard of which was seemingly motivated by a general hatred toward religion in general.

It should be noted that the article linked to does not specifically say these murders were a result of their religion. I highly suspect this was a hate crime directed at Muslims but I didn't see where the shooter has said that.

Here's hoping the justice system works this time. These kinds of people don't need to suck air, let alone ever be out on the streets again.

I question the reports concerning the man's beliefs, I suspect this was more driven by the fact they were Muslims. Based on the photos of the women they chose to wear traditional scarves (hijab) most of the day, specially when in public. None the less I hope this man is shown the full force of the law during the sentencing phase of the trial.

If the victims were black and the perp make public posts about blacks should be killed then shoots three black students because of "parking" would fewer people jump to conclusions? "That racist bastard" would be the cry before getting beyond the headline.

I personally think that murder is wrong no matter what the motivation. Is murdering someone because they are Muslim worse than murdering someone because they took your parking spot? I don't see how it is. Murder is wrong. Period.

Latest update shows it was over parking space dispute.

I would not kill people but I would make them know never to park in an area I shoveled out myself by hand. You lazy tards do that then you should expect something.
Do not ever think you can ever like Papa Smurf go Tralalalala anyplace on a snowy day and take a space shoveled out without any thought or care as to who dug it out in the first place.

Both sides showed lack of empathy and forethought/hindsight/maturity

So with that said for the past 12 years everyone in my community knows never to park in my spot. I am known as the TOW KING.

That is true. This could be fun.

A rock in a shoe, could have annoyed someone, and then they got a call from their bank saying that someone had stolen all the money. Then someone took a parking spot and it escalated into an argument that ended in murder.

Or, maybe a midget hooker kicked him in the knee and hobbled off, which made the man angry, and then he got into this argument.

As long as we are going to make shit up before we get details, we should have fun right?

Well it sounds like they were parking in his spot, that he had shoveled clear himself. Plus he may have been concerned about the primary effects of a car bomb with them parking so close to his home, in his spot.

If this isolated incident is actually about anti-Muslim bigotry...I imagine that there will be ensuing outrage on a global level...and much more so had the murderer been a "Christian". I've found that human beings have an remarkable ability to rationalize and reinforce their personal bigotry and hatred based solely on such isolated injustices as this. A sad thing, that's all too common, that we need to know about ourselves.

Murder is wrong, but would the murder have happened if they didn't "look muslim"? If yes then there's not much more to be said than this guy is killer but if parking was more of an excuse then a reason then I don't think that can be ignored.
