BTW, Mame.

What if I killed your father, raped your mother and made your sister a sex slave(and made her to deal with over 60 guys a day). What if I still claim that it was all good and that it helped your family. Would you still be the proud idiot who'd say "it was a war a long time ago, get over it you idiot"

Oh and I just didn't kill your father. I put him in a centrifugal separator to see how his body would be torn apart. Also, I freeze his body then throw boiling water just to see what it'd do to human skins (Get more information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731#Vivisection)

then I would hate you, not your country

if someone from Iraq hates the US and its residents, that's equally as lame. I never had any say in the war and I am against it, yet I would be blamed just as much as a soldier. Same thing applies to almost every country that has been to war and it's pathetic.

You need to realize that a select few people run a country and decide the course of action it takes. Hate them, not the country as a whole

Following your logic, you should not hate me. You should only hate my 'hands' that killed your father and my 'thing' that raped your mother. And, my left hand would be innocent as it was only my right hand that killed your father.

That guy must be pretty blind because Koreans do sh!t like that too. I guess he's never gone booking.

What is the point of all these anti-Japanese acts? Sure, it may vent some anger but it's not going to change history as we know it.

Although I'm Korean, I think it's phokked up that their teachers are allowing them to pull that shiet off. Why bring kids into politics? Sometimes, I really hate my own people, I really do.

Just go to koreantown in LA, and you'll see why. Nothing but egotistical, superficial, wannabe hardasses.

I can count the number of korean friends that I have in 1 hand. Heck, hack off half of my hand, and I still can count the number of korean friends I have. Korean-americans are like the worse breed of asians.

I'm korean, so I'm allowed to say this. I know there are bad apples in every group, but I think we have the most bad apples.

That said, I can't agree w/ Japan w/ their current stance on the past and what not.

bah, politics is a bunch of garbage to talk about :(.

I wish aliens will come attack us, and we have to pull together to kill them off.

reminds me of this

i'm chinese and I don't hate japanese, Although I've seen pictures from that time, I was just pissed off at how could something like that happen on a large scale. I don't blame the race in general.

No, but I do blame the government's policies for making the situation so much worse. And that fact that even .3%, according to Canoworms, approved those textbooks also kind of angers me

Its a free country. Its just like they approve creationist history or science books here in the US don't they? You've got freaks and fanatics everywhere including Japan.

im not sure if this info is up to date, but a few years ago, the textbook which omitted the major atrocities recieved so few orders that they made the altered textbooks FREE and mass distributed them. im not sure if schools use them though (despire them being distributed). i DO know however, that they have 'inspections' when new textbooks are released and oftentimes the info in these books are skewed.

I've said this a couple times in threads before but I've work in Japan in junior high schools. I have looked at different history books to see if they do have these whitewashings of history. I can tell you the ones I have seen did mention Nanking and the attrocities. Just because the textbooks are approved does not mean they use them. Its up to each local board of education to decide the curriculum and the books to use. Just like in the US where you get kooks in Georgia using creationist textbooks, you'll find some nationalist freaks using them in one or two districts. This is not the norm though. Yet its being blown up into some kind of international incident.

Seriously, some of these governments are so hypocritical. Do you think China teaches its kids about killing its own people in Tianamen? Somehow I doubt it.

if a lot of the talks are pointing to the "few minorities" unwillingly representing the whole country, the same reasoning can be applied to the title of this thread.

"Thoes Crazy Koreans (note the typo)", it should really be some kids in Korea that drew these.

Am I right or am I right?

Watch the Korean news and you'll see its a pretty widespread thing over there. It doesn't help that there is a huge disagreement over some stupid islands that have no real economic value.

If you guys ever get a chance to visit Seoul, Korea

Try to visit the palaces (which were all rebuilt recently because they were burned again and again by the Japanese. They basically burned thousands of years of history.)

When the nazis took over France, they just marched through the Triumphant Arc, not burn the damn thing.

Don't talk about another country unless you know the full story.

If you don't put up a fight why would they blow things up . Your saying the Japaness were worse than the Nazis. The Koreans put up a fight the French laid down and cried uncle.

Little kids see and learn things all the time. Don't think Korean taught these kids on purpose. Let's just say that it's embeddedin our heritage just like Americans abhor terrorists.

Now, I don't, in any way, mean that the terrorists are good, i'm talking about a propaganda stand-point.

All states have a different view, and calling one nationality crazy isn't very nice.

Although I don't believe in what the kids drew, I can definitely understand where they came from.

You don't see the differance between terrorist who can be anyone and teaching race hate.
No hope for you man.

Good call on that. this should be locked.

Wasn't being raciest, just thought it was funny and decided to share.

But I guess no one can look at something and just enjoy the humor of the situation.

I would strongly suggest that both south and north korea watch their northern border closer . You want a lesson in history.

I have not seen any real flame here . People are just posting opions . Their is no name calling and it is thier history . Once in awhile you have to get a differant perspective so as to view things in a differant light.

it was a war a long time ago, get over it you idiot

nazi's commited genocide and no one I have ever heard of has ever said anything bad about germany now because of it.

grow up and shutup

don't speak without knowing.

the german govt has acknowledged the acts of the nazi party and punished nazis for their actions. the japanese govt has never acknowledged nor condemned their actions of the past.

btw, when was the last time you said something nice about a nazi?

you can't compare the japanese to a repentent german govt. you have to compare them to the Nazi's.

Germans don't deny or try to avoid the past transgressions of the Nazis. Can the same be said about the Japanese gov about the atrocious acts of the imperial army? They were worse than Nazis.

Um, I noticed a lot of Californians (well at least the ones from LA area) are like that period not just Koreans. And the Koreans here in Georgia are not like the lot you speak of. Maybe it's the west coast culture.

I'm korean and i grew up in Ga. ;)

as for dan, i can only feel sorry for someone with such self hatred.
