If you guys ever get a chance to visit Seoul, Korea

Try to visit the palaces (which were all rebuilt recently because they were burned again and again by the Japanese. They basically burned thousands of years of history.)

When the nazis took over France, they just marched through the Triumphant Arc, not burn the damn thing.

Don't talk about another country unless you know the full story.

it was a war a long time ago, get over it you idiot

nazi's commited genocide and no one I have ever heard of has ever said anything bad about germany now because of it.

grow up and shutup

yeah the japanese ran a rampage all over asia during that time. From the philippines through mainland china. Most of the generation that saw the horrors first hand have died off, but it is appalling how the japanese today view their "forced expansion due to economic pressures from the west". Oh well I guess if you believe hard enough...

As a Japanese, I do meet some koreans/chinese that HATE Japanese people for what was done in history.

I think it's terrible what the Japanese army did in history, but what can I do...

woah... where did this suddenly come from?
any of you guys believe what this guys is saying?
Ok, so I can forget about a war(?) a long time ago.
Did the Germans try to beautify thier genocide like the Japanese are doing now?
Germans apologized and people-in-charge were executed.

I think the Japanese might've killed more, anyhow, they didn't settle it. Otherwise they wouldn't be putting in their textbooks about how they made Korea better by colonizing it.
And about the recent dispute over an island, it's not just a little island, it feels as if the Japanese are trying to bully thier way like they did in the past.

I'm all for settling things in the past, you gotta know what you're talking about before calling someone an idiot.

What if Germany government still says that their war was a just war and that they did the right thing? What if Germany manipulate their middle/highschool text book saying invasion over other countries and colonizing them helped them? What if Germany cut a deal with U.S over their genocide and the person who was in charge of genocide became a pricipal of the top university of Germany?
If so, can you just say "it was a war long time ago, get over it you idiot"?

Kids in Korea grow up listening those horrible stories done by Japanese.
Have you ever heard about Unit 731? Do you know what kind of human experiments they've done? Do you know the guy who's in charge of that madness became a principal of Tokyo university in exchange of his works to U.S? Do you know nobody from that unit were treated as war criminals?
How about Japanese military's sex slaves. Korea still has survivors/victims of that sex slavery. Can you imagine bunch of 16 year old girls getting kidnapped to become a sex slave of Japanese military? Can you imagine them having to deal with over 60 soldiers a day?
Well, I can go on and on about what they've done. It sure is over now but the major problem is that they still deny what they've done. Even worse, they claim that what they've done helped Korea. The prime minister still goes to the temple where all those war criminals are buried and worships them. What would you think if the head of Germany worships Hitler?

BTW, Mame.

What if I killed your father, raped your mother and made your sister a sex slave(and made her to deal with over 60 guys a day). What if I still claim that it was all good and that it helped your family. Would you still be the proud idiot who'd say "it was a war a long time ago, get over it you idiot"

Oh and I just didn't kill your father. I put him in a centrifugal separator to see how his body would be torn apart. Also, I freeze his body then throw boiling water just to see what it'd do to human skins (Get more information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731#Vivisection)

It's because North Korea and South Korea are two different countries, yet they're one nationality.

Japan took over Korea until 1945 when thier Hiroshima got bombed. They decided to surrender Korea, so the Soviets took the north half and the US took the south half.

That's how it became North and South Korea. How can South Koreans hate North Koreans? It's not like they separated on their own.

then I would hate you, not your country

if someone from Iraq hates the US and its residents, that's equally as lame. I never had any say in the war and I am against it, yet I would be blamed just as much as a soldier. Same thing applies to almost every country that has been to war and it's pathetic.

You need to realize that a select few people run a country and decide the course of action it takes. Hate them, not the country as a whole

Although I'm Korean, I think it's phokked up that their teachers are allowing them to pull that shiet off. Why bring kids into politics? Sometimes, I really hate my own people, I really do.

Just go to koreantown in LA, and you'll see why. Nothing but egotistical, superficial, wannabe hardasses.

I can count the number of korean friends that I have in 1 hand. Heck, hack off half of my hand, and I still can count the number of korean friends I have. Korean-americans are like the worse breed of asians.

I'm korean, so I'm allowed to say this. I know there are bad apples in every group, but I think we have the most bad apples.

That said, I can't agree w/ Japan w/ their current stance on the past and what not.

bah, politics is a bunch of garbage to talk about :(.

I wish aliens will come attack us, and we have to pull together to kill them off.

Just because you're Korean, and have had bad experiences with others doesn't give you any sort of right to bash every one of them down. Seriously.

I have a Korean-American friend who's a devout Christian (her grandfather was a pastor in Korea). Their whole family hates Japanese people because they think they are immorral, promiscuous, and lacking family values. They point to things like Hentai, the vending machines where you get school girls panties, prostitution, etc.

But personally I think its all a farce...everyone's entitled to their own moral conviction and its not as if Americans are that much better. Its just the same anti-japanese politics with a "moral superiority" agenda.
