I heard the guy describing the details yesterday.

He cut down to the bones in his forearm with his pocket knife. Couldn't cut through the bones, sooooo

he broke his radius and his ulna, one at a time. :Q:Q:Q:Q

I find it hard to believe really, this story has caused such attention that everyone is like freaked out! There are a few thing that are unanswered, that makes me doubt that it is real at all. What he is doing hiking alone, how the hell did his arm got caught in their in the first place. If a boulder this big fell on him, he would most likely be dead. a boulder on an arm?! maybe he never had any arms to begin with. I bet its just publicity stunt, like a movie. so he can be rich and everyone will respect him.
Also, he survived 5 days being stuck to that wonderful boulder?! wtf? you be lucky to be alive for 24hrs with little food and drink.

kinda strange that he is hiking all alone?! this is mess up, his story is just so unbelievable that it would take someone at least 100 years to see throught it. cleverly disguised.

People have lived longer than that w/o food and drink; the length of time depends on many conditions. However, I'd agree with you about being doubtful about other parts of the story.

I seen that in a movie - a man cutting his leg (!) off with a dull kitchen knife after his leg got trapped under a heavy wooden bulk on the seaside and sharks just kept coming. It was pretty much the only thing he could do *maybe* but according to the movie he died the next day anyway b/c of infestation.
