This is what you get if you pay $60K USD for a first class flight ticket on Emirates

all good bro, you can live vicariously through me the day I liveblog my emirates first class experience.

I will live through myself... I have a house, I have a car, and I can afford to go on vacation a couple times per year ... life is good 🙂

Enjoy your trip, even though I would feel it a waste of a good airplane flight (look out the window! watch the land! .. drink and eat during cloudy times, or when flying over the ocean)

What a waste...

Lamar got hookers, blow et al., and a place to stay for $75k. Fly economy and spend the rest on hookers, blow et al.
Why do you guys all keep missing the point?

If you think you can spend $60K better on other things, this isn't for you. This is for mega rich people who do whatever they want AND are happy that this ultra premium service exists for them for flying.

It's not either or with money.

Oh I get it alright. Next up: an orbiting space station, halo style, so they can completely rid themselves of having to deal with the rest of us. 😀

well he did get it for 300$ instead of 60$k

Well, the $300 was for taxes and fees. What he did not say was exactly how many miles or points he paid for the trip.

The article stated the trip was based on "a loop hole" so I am pretty sure he would pay a lot more miles/points if he did make the trip during popular travelling days/on season.

His money ain't buying that time away from hookers and blow back...

So some friends are planning to go to Tokyo in January which gives me the chance to redeem for this..

http://thepointsguy.com/2015/06/singapore-a380-suites-review/

It's a $12,000 round trip ticket that would cost me 150k points. However, the seats are currently on waitlist right now. I have to have the points in my account to waitlist... Should I risk it in case I don't get the seat? I mean if I don't get the seat I could use those points later on but I'd have to do Singapore Airlines....

I'd settle for business unless you know you're going to be flying Singapore again.

Perusing his website (this is really just a ploy to get traffic to his website) seems to indicate that he used Alaska airlines miles to get this. Alaska charges 100k miles for FC on Emirates US to Asia.

It was 14 flights total, one was in coach class, several were business. Doesn't seem all that fun to me, traveling March 2 - 26, spent 11 days in Dubai, all the other places he only spent a few hours or overnight. Just sounds exhausting to me.

If you spend $60K on a seat I'm willing to bet the hot stewardesses are more than happy to provide "extra services" for a nice tip.

Incorrect, for people who buy the $60k tickets? They fly to their destination in style and at the destination, women with blow will just fall on their dicks. That is how it works when you are that rich.

Seems fake. His poses for the shots are weird. Random people are taking the shots?

Free ad placement basically.

I've had the Paradis... not a fan, but I do like like the Dom and Moet he was drinking and wouldn't have turned that down.

I will have to say that watching his video the placement of the camera angles were very suspicious, like this whole thing was setup for some reason. How did he mount the camera behind the shower head? Didn't see a way for him to do that based on his picture of the shower. Things like that when I watched the video made me go hrmmmm... Not saying that the trip he took wasn't really over the top, but the whole thing seemed more like a marketing setup to some degree.

Selfie stick?

All in all, a cool trip if you want to see the world. Although disappointing to hear he had to push a button for the door to open (was hoping for an ingenious use of motion tech w/ an open/close indicator), and that the showers had time limits. For 60K I better have unlimited hot water FFS.

The expensive liquor/food seemed fun since it's not something you'd buy everyday. I also liked the sleep cabin if it was bigger.

The image would have bounced around too much on that. That and in the video there were a few scenes that he had somehow magically filmed from multiple angles. How many people setup multiple filming angles with multiple cameras? I'm not saying he couldn't have done it... but that is not something average person does at all. It's something a marketing team would do though. This is also on Business Insider online magazine... the whole thing reeks of marketing ploy. Still it's crazy to see everything that they do offer though.

It is a marketing ploy for his website. I have no doubt that this is real. You have no idea the crazy stuff people do to generate miles. Go peruse flyertalk.com or something sometime. signing up for every CC in existence and using manufactured spending to generate miles is a thing. My wife does it occasionally, she has over 100k miles on United, barely flies.

It's really not that crazy/hard.

So this just happened.

You guys are thinking like a peasant. People that fly this service have millions of dollars floating around. They probably earn 60k in a week just from interest.

So for them spending 60k on a ticket is like us spending $100 to get the best seats at a movie theater. Life is short, why waste it standing in lines or eating shit food if you don't have to.
