you gotta admit there is something that deserves examination here. the dog was fine for four months, you take possesion and it dies two days later. coincidence? maybe. on the other hand there might be a lesson to learn in this. id never heard of this schitt about not running your dog until its a year old but it makes sense, animals can overheat really easily and puppies may be more vulnerable

was more like 2 weeks

Most don't seem to feel to empathetic to this guy and how he's probably torn up over this to begin with.

You guys need to be a bit none casual about comments a lot.

If it was a cat these people would be crying more than the OP

OP, did you manage to get the dog to the vet for the "Puppy Exam" when you had it? When we got our dog we took it in as part of the requirements for the "1 year guarantee"....it basically checks for health issues that can immediately be found.

This is Izzy! She's a Cockapoo, and has been an absolute joy. Next Saturday will be 1 month with us; we decided to try again right away since we really want one. This time we did go with a breeder and got her history and a health guarantee and everything.

These pictures are from her first time back from a groomer; I'll have some more after we take her again next weekend.

cute pup but its better not to keep supporting puppy mills. whats wrong with a pound puppie?

Since he already said the first one did not come from a puppy mill and this one is from a breeder, you must be trolling - again.

Seriously, thank you. My tongue was already bleeding from him/her so I appreciate what you did.

I hope her personality matches her looks. She's probably fun and goofy.

She is an absolute blast; she's very playful and extremely intelligent. She's already basically house-broken; we used the bell method and can safely allow her to free-roam the house now. The only thing is she doesn't like her kennel yet (unless it's for sleeping at night) so we just have to give that time.

Congrats on the new dog! The bell method works great, my schnauzer picked it up in about 3 days. She even rings it in different ways so you know what she wants. Light tap means stop ignoring me let's go play, normal tap means I have to pee, and running full speed smacking the bell and then trying to kill it like its a rodent means I'm about to shit all over the place... Lol. Dogs never cease to amaze me.

Got me, the wife and I have had several dogs also over time.

How is that really relevant ?

lol I remember when we got our cockapoo neutered and he had to wear an inflatable ring around his neck to prevent him from biting the stitches. The regular plastic cone didn't fit him right.
