It's to get out of the sale...it happens.
It's like when you get all of those emails from craiglist ads, yet only 1 will actually meet up and call...a lot of people are PMing on the hype.."oooh, it's still here, I should get it" then buyers remorse within 5-15 minutes after they thought about it. No matter how expensive the item is.
I get that it happens. Does it seem to others that it is happening more often recently?

And I'll give George W. Bush a reach-around before I bump your For Sale post just because you told me to. Control freak, much?

You are focusing on a very minor aspect of the OP. The bump thing was just a throw in.
I was more interested in input regarding the "delay" issue. From your response, it appears that you do not believe that this is happening more often now-a-days.

No, formally, by our established procedures, it does not. If you say yes to the price, you and the buyer still must agree on all the ancillary terms of the proposed transaction -- must you ship first or must he pay you first, etc.
Only when ALL this has been stipulated and he then says, "Ok, I'll take it." do you have a sale.
But then, as a lawyer, you already KNOW both the necessity and good sense of dotting every 'i' and crossing every 't' first, right?
Right?

How the hell am I supposed to know "the bump thing was just a throw in?"
Anyways, I see no evidence of an agreed deal in your post, so you have no reason to complain. If the other guy had said "We have a deal," then your rant would have some merit.
Sorry about before, ATOT's assholes are rubbing off on me.

For future reference, where are the "established procedures" that state that the timing of shipping/paying is a required term to be determined before you have a contract of sale?

Just wait until you get someone who buys and pays for said item, only to file a paypal dispute saying the wrong item was shipped before it even shipped, PM you 80 times in 3 hours (daytime working hours no less) asking if it shipped and requesting a refund, then turning around the same day posting a WTB thread looking for the same exact item you sold/unsold to said jerk in the first place.
Yeah - happened to me the other week.

That's crazy.
So, um, is it still for sale
(That being said, I certainly have had bigger problems than the in the OP, too.)
