"We" who? I don't understand why you keep talking like it's your family.

I take it that because he is so involved with and cares for the family it makes him family even if not by blood.

That is exactly it.

We because I am around there family alot. But I will start saying they.

I think it's sweet that you're so concerned about this family, but I was just saying that it doesn't seem healthy for you to be talking like the baby is yours ("getting the baby to know his roots on music would be fun"..."We have already contacted social services"..."everytime we call one of them they say they can't help us because we don't have custody of the child. "...stuff like that.) I just hope you don't feel like you have to personally save this family, that's just too much for a kid in high school to take on, especially when it's not your own family. I'm not trying to be a bitch.

Contact your local Department of Child Services (or whatever it is called in your area) if the child is truly at risk.

Quoted for truth. Or Contact the D/A's office and get them involved. If the mother is not able to care for the child, and the grandparents can't afford it, then the best thing is to have the state step in and take custody of the kid.
The grandparents should take the kid from the mom and go to a firestation or police station and surrender it there, even without the mothers permission. The childs saftey is more important than anything else right now.

Thanks for all of the help the baby has been put up for adoption the extra baby formula will donated to a woman shelter of some kind where some will need it. thanks
