Rocko's Modern Life, Doug Funny.

Just those two bring back good childhood memories. Now we have crap like Spongebob Square Pants.

Amen brotha!

i miss that cartoon Recess, and also Pepperanne or w/e....gargoyals....darkwing duck, duck tales.

damn those were good times.

Mummies Alive, Beast Wars, Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles (never completed), Power Rangers, Mighty Max, All of the Marvel/DC remakes. The last age of good American Cartoons. Everything now is either Japanese, Japanese-ized, or just reatarded (Mucha Luchas? WTF.)

Edit: Not to mention everything by Disney/WB. (Animaniacs, DarkWing duck, etc). Awesome stuff.

I fondly remember dating women in their 90s. Those were the days. I especially liked it when their wrinkly, saggy jowls rubbed on my thighs. Ahh, you just don't get that with young women in their 20s. I do surely miss it.

Filling half a tank in my Apollo for about $5. That's what, a gallon and a half now?
All the TV shows and cartoons mentioned.
Being able to spur-of-the-moment fly somewhere cheap or get to the airport with ten minutes to spare and still make the flight.
Adding 487's to our 486SLC's to make them power-efficient server-class systems.

I never really got into Seinfield despite all the hype...
Which is funny because seinfeld never had any hype.

The network didnt think it was going to be a hit and ordered the first few seasons piecemeal. And its ratings were not great in the beginning. They slowly built up over the run of the show, peaking in its last season.

It wasnt until the show was finished that people called it legendary.

Fox would have canceled it and the show would have never been seen again.

Man, I'm old (32). Ten years ago, in 1997 I was 22 and having the same discussion about the 80's. There was a popular article that circulated around the internet about being a child of the 80's. We missed our 80's music, Star Wars figures, and TV shows like Diff'rent Strokes and Family Ties. The Saturday morning cartoons we discussed missing were Pac-Man & Dungeons & Dragons. Sometimes the older guys (32) would discuss cartoons like Speed Racer and Space Ghost....way before my time.

Now, people are talking about missing Duck Tales, a cartoon that was on when I was in college, and now I'M the old guy talking about cartoons no one is old enough to remember.

Think about that, when in 10 years you'll be reading a similar discussion, and no one remembers TMNT, but are reminiscing about SpongeBob.

Cartoon Express!
That reminds me of when I'd get up early, my parents would still be sleeping, I'd be watching cartoons, and the ice cream man would be driving down the streets... so I'd run in and beg my parents for ice cream money, and I'm sure they gave it to me just to get me to shut up and go away :p

I also miss Magic: the Gathering before they realized they had to keep adding new cards, and therefore new rules, in order to keep making money.

Oh wow, I totally forget about that one. I miss that game too. That was my life when I was in middle school. I had a killer blue and white deck.

I remember I even went to a couple tournaments. I lost never made it far though :)

Im glad my girlfriend doesnt know about that time of my life.
