I order a double cheeseburger, large fires, and diet coke. I like soda with my burger and fries but would rather not have all that extra sugar. Whats the problem with that?
i believe he was referring to an obese person ordering that, not an average weighted person (i'm assuming you are average weighted). i am very in shape myself, however i will drink diet sodas unless i'm drinking normal sodas with liquor when I go out. i only eat fast food probably once every 2 weeks though, but if i do, i will always get a diet coke with it.

America, fvck yeah!
I don't know why they call it a "problem". I'm fat and it's not a problem for me.
If it's a problem for anyone else, perhaps they should take the opportunity to mind their own fvcking business.![]()
Once you go older and they will start to pay your medical expenses for heart related diseases and other diseases that appear much more on overweight people, it's not your problem anymore.
Can I have their phone number? I'd like to ask if they'd like to start paying my healthcare premiums now. I'm wondering why "they" have never volunteered to pay for my healthcare in the past?
"They" are the other people on your plan paying higher premiums because of people's poor lifestyle choices -- smoking, overeating, or other behaviors associated with higher medical claims. Too bad we cannot have people with higher risk behaviors pay more than those who make an effort to maintain good health.
Hehehehehehehehehehe.
You think premiums are going to go down if people don't engage in high risk behaviors?
Wanna buy a watch?
Who do you think is paying for all these obesity-related costs, not to mention the time off from work that fatter people statistically gobble like bonbons?![]()
Eating properly and exercising are very important, I am certain, but I question this whole rage about bottled water. If your tap water really sucks, then there's always the filtering machines at the store that can sell you water in gallon jugs, but regardless, I can loose weight without paying insane amounts of money for something I can get for (almost) free from any tap.Originally posted by: AntiEverything
I didn't go so crazy as to buy only organic food, but my wife and I made a pact to start eating better. Lots more fruits and veggies, less prepared food from the store (which tends to be very fatty) and less eating out. I also drink at most 8oz of pop every few days. After just a couple months I'm down from 195-200 to 180-185.Originally posted by: DAGTA
1. Lack of exercise. Americans might walk the least of any people in the world.
2. Portions of food are growing larger (this is intentional)
3. Quality of food has been steadily declining for 100 years. Less nutrients (overworked soil) and more chemicals
4. Food corporations are intentionally developing and using chemicals (food additives) that make you gain weight and get addicted to their food. Fat people buy more.
Doubt me? Try drinking only bottled water and buying only organic food for three months. See how much weight you lose and how much better you feel.

I only buy bottled watered if it's flavored. Usually H2Oh, for the light flavor and carbonation. I stay away from the stuff with Splenda or aspartame in it. Other than that, it's tap water that I run through a Brita filter.Originally posted by: ProviaFan

Yeah, I like flavored water, but hardly ever buy it. I used to use one of those Brita filters, but the filter was expended and, um... hasn't been replaced yet. So instead, I fill my glass directly from the tap.Originally posted by: AntiEverything

Shens, or you're just totally diesel.
My little brother is 17, 6'2 and he's 175 lbs. He's thin, in good shape, but still his bodyfat is higher than 14%. If you're 237 lbs and only have 14% bodyfat, you're a beast.

Why does someone always bring up this absurd excuse for a documentary in food/weight threads?
Because it's an interesting and entertaining documentary.
You have your own "risk behaviors" yet you see what you do as acceptable, and what others do as un-acceptable.Originally posted by: ucdnam
I really don't care if people are fat, but what matters is that they're increasing health care costs.
If everyone paid for their own health care, I wouldn't care, but our taxes are footing the bill for fat@sses.
