Yep, 32 cent jump in 1 day.

Soon the cheepie station will raise its price to match the other goons. :(:(

This is in Michigan.

Who's whining?

I'm off for the summer, I'm Mr. Mom until the end of August... :):)

Until then, I could care less what prices do. I'm just commenting about how others react... Just an observation I made.

Honestly, I haven't seen these types of lines since the early seventies, and I do remember them....

Gas is still 2.93 here.

It's odd, because I used to live in PA very close to the NY border and before, PA was always cheaper for gas. This is why the one gas station that's literally right by the NY/PA border always did so well in gas sales. But now the PA gas stations are around 20 cents or more for gas. It's such a weird switch to see based on many prior years of the exact opposite.

I don't give a rats ass if I pay $10 more a week to drive. If you don't like it, drive less or get a smaller car.

!(@*$#& Sounds like I am going to be kicking my self in the ass when I get out of work. Two of the stations in town were at $3.28 when I left for work this morning. Both stations were packed and I didn't have time to wait around as I was running late for work.

For some people, drive less is not an option. I drive all of 5 miles to and from work. My wife on the other hand has to drive 25 miles each way. She has no option. Either she drives to work, or she doesn't work.

I feel the same way, especially since I'll be done paying off my truck next month. No more car payments + an extra $10 a week at the pump = Not affected.

Yeah, we're not shopping as much because we're paying $100/month for gas as compared to Jan. 07. Congress is going to be pissed when the economy starts hurting because of this nonsense. I wish I had some sort of public transportation I could take advantage of, but I'd have to drive 20 miles to get to the nearest bus stop that takes me to work :| At least I drive a Scion.

Ah, STFU, this is America, we have the right to complain about everything, and we're not gonna stop just because it annoys you.
And why wouldn't you give a rat's ass if you have to pay more? That's just mind-bogglingly stupid; who doesn't care when they have to pay more for stuff? I will be happy to sell you gas for $7 per gallon. You don't care, right? So come buy your gas from me.

I see it hurting many other things too, people are giving less to charities, etc. etc.

I think that's because when looking at the pump, some of us can't justify the price increase that we've seen over the past year or two.

Chicago has the highest prices in the Country currently, we just edged out San Francisco by 3 cents, we win.

I'm in the same boat as you. While I earn above average wage the overall effect of prices rising is blowing my budget right out of the water. First thing to go was unnecessary spending (eating out, going out the bars) next up is cable TV (so long HD) then I guess I'll have to start selling off some of my stuff. I already live with a roommate and split rent and utilities, etc.

I live in the Boston area and do take the T when I need to go IN towards town, but I work OUTSIDE of town where there is no feasible way to get in a sane amount of time using pulic transport.

Get ready to get flamed.. You know your wife should move closer to work. At least thats the opinions of the big oil, "I hate America" types in here.
