The easiest 100kb saddlebags that I got was when i did part of the main quest with Triss to meet the King of Beggars, after the locked door opens to the alley, there is a merchant on the left that sells it.

Then you can skip the rest of the quest if you want.

Was playing last night and realized I only put in 1 skill point so far. I have like 14 more to place and can't say I felt like I needed them. Playing on hard and no problems yet I guess.

If you want the +70kg bag as soon as you enter Velen, you can get one from a merchant in Oreton, which is a fishing village on the shores a wlil ways south of Crow's Perch. At least, that's what I read. I haven't checked it myself.

I got my +70kg bags from a merchant in Novigrad.
It's here:

You need to get across the Pontar first. I did a quest to get my pass. I think I got across to Novigrad when I was level 5 or 6 or so. You need the money first anyway (600 crowns or so ?).

Are there any options to get the +100kg bags early ? At level 4-6 ? I believe you need to be level 10 or so to get the Pyres of Novigrad quest. And level 16 (or 14) to get to Skellige.

That's maybe also because the skill-points don't do that much. Well, the skills in the melee combat and alchemy trees don't seem very impressive.

Some of the skills in the Sign tree are overpowered. Focus your points on Quen should be a little overpowered. Focus on Igni is also way too good. I think the best thing would be to not read about the optimal skill-trees, forget about min-maxing. And just put points into stuff that you feel would be best for your Witcher. For me that would be melee skills, as I enjoy fighting with swords. (There is still an undead rogue inside of me. Undead4life. I am Forsaken !)

I got the bags from the fishing village but max I can hold is 130 kg. I keep selling stuff for weight but somehow I end up wanting more space.

The melee combat tree is amazing if you stack benefits. Like say you add critical hit damage and get a sword with critical hit damage + and stack it. Instant death chance, stack that. There is a heavy attack skill that ignores a certain amount of armor and you can combine that with armor piercing. Fast strikes do bleeding and you can add bleeding chance runes.

Stuff like that. You just have to build a setup around the skills you decide on to get maximum effect.

Annoyance with the new patch. Cannot craft upgraded mutagens if you already have one in inventory. Filters are nice though.

This is hit or miss with me. Sometimes it lets me do so, other times it won't.

The only filter that I find missing especially for armor or weapon crafting is there should be a level filter, to say hid the ones you cannot craft by level so if you are level 10 you dont see anything above your current level

I've seen a number of people claim that when they drop stuff, it stays there for a while. But if you come back way way later, it sometimes is gone. That's enough reason for me to keep stuff in my saddlebags.

The first thing I did when I left White Orchard was find info about saddlebags on the net. It seems you can't get +100kg bags right away. So I settled for the +70kg bags. Total is 130kg. That's been enough for now. I'm lvl14. And when I sell all junk, I'm at 75kg. Used to be 60kg. I think once I continue the mainline, I have access to the 100kg bags in Novigrad. (I refuse to enter a certain establishment without my swords. I tried to find another way in, but didn't succeed. I will try again later). I hope that by the time my 160kg total is full, CDPR will have released a patch with storage at Inns.

What do you need loot for after a certain point? I'm not even bothering with Skellige anymore; with 46K I don't need to dive into 35 more smuggle caches for loot. There seems to a hard cap to gold too, 60K and that is it.

Not true,I have over 75k.

I had loading bug where it's loading new area but never loads ,you have to end game and restart the game, also had diving bug again where hitting "c" does not dive.

It was already delayed twice. A third time would have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

Plus, patches can create bugs, as well as fix them.

I don't remember finding any bugs when I played. Are you guys going out of your way to look for them?

Yea I was thinking it was already delayed but seeing what the game is now and how good it is I don't think it would have mattered. A good game is a good game. Besides another month delay, wouldn't have had any other games to really compete with on PC.

A workaround is to craft one, then drop it on the floor. Craft another one, drop that one on the floor too. Craft the third. Pick up the first 2 from the floor. Now you can craft a bigger one.

I've run into one bug. I had 6 lesser Quen runestones in my bag. I have the recipe to make a bigger one. Doesn't work. The crafting recipe tells me I have 0/2 lesser runestones, and doesn't let me make a bigger one.

That's one of the few bugs I've encountered. I am not bothered at all. All software has bugs. You might not run into one, or you might. You just shouldn't get upset. And just work around it, or ignore it. If you expect new software to have no bugs, you got reality issues.

I think the game was in awesome condition on release. Mostly new bugs, for me, have cropped up with the patches, but this always happens.

I haven't run into anything game-breaking--though I've heard that exists--including the XP bug which truly was no big deal in terms of actual gameplay.

I have seen a few quests and NPCs get stuck, but was able to revive/reset them on another load or doing some meditation.

Compared to any other AAA title with this kind of massive world and content, I feel that none have released in as polished a state as Witcher 3.

Ah, so that explains why I couldn't make any more red mutagens. Was wondering what the heck happened.

By the way, what is the point of decotions? I took the cockerice one before a battle which gives you an extra potion (so 5/5 swallow instead of 4/4 for example) but your toxicity is so freaking high you can't take any more anyway.

decoctions include a handful of different effects in one potion, and as you noticed, have very long effect times. The high toxicity is because the effect of one decoction is quite powerful compared to a standard potion that grants only one effect. I like them, as several of them are pretty awesome.

Well...I want to think they are awesome--like the increasing vitality on kill or hit; damage reduction on each hit, throughout the fight...things like that. Problem is, most mob fights don't really last long enough (if you are high damage), to be that much use. And with the stronger bosses, only the on-hit decoctions are useful, which are more limited than the on-kill types.

I think it's useful to spec a few points into 2--or even 3--alchemy skills (to max out your green mutagen for 600 very useful vitality), because you can increase maximum toxicity as well as potion duration. This allows you to use a potion or two on top of one decoction, which is nice.

The unfortunate truth is that massive open world games like this will never be bug free. The incredible complexity of the of the game and world is great for producing bugs, great for concealing them, and great for making them a pain to fix. Game studios would probably have to pay a small army of thousands of testers to realistically hit all full coverage for a game of this size, and even then it's unlikely that they have the resources to fix all of those bugs in a realistic time frame.

I've been having a lot more crashes the last few days so I'm definitely getting frustrated with bugs.. but overall this has been a pretty good launch. And CDPR has been very responsive with the patching so far.

Latest bug I've found is that my in game timer reset itself so it went back to 0 when I started up again. Steam says I have 41 hours in, so at least one way to keep track.

Finished today close to 80 hours Level 34. Didn't like the main quest at all compared to I and II. It ended up going straight to the standard end of the world fantasy cliche
although at least here everything dies in the end including multiple worlds unless Ciri stops it (White Frost)
and I ended up on the second best
happily ever after
ending. I disagree that the "best" ending really is the "best". Far preferred the political machinations of II and the Salamandra plot of I. Most of the main plot was bland and formulaic. Sure the dialogue and character models are great but only a couple bits really stood out.
