The Wire has caught me

I am blowing through season 1 of the Wire now on DVD. Never seen it before, borrowed Season 1 dvd's from a friend. Great show.
Not sure yet if it's better than The Shield, but it's a damn good show.

Oh, it is better than the shield. A fantastic show. I started last fall and flew through the first three seasons. Now I am just waiting for season 4 on DVD.

Yeah, it's a great show. I don't agree that it's better than the Shield, as The Shield is the best show on TV. Avon Barksdale is a great character.

I didn't like how McNulty was downplayed in the later seasons, he is such a great character.

I think it's very close. My favorite season of The Wire was with the greeks and the union guys.

It's hard to choose but I think The Wire has a slight lead over The Shield.

Haven't watched Season 4 of the Wire yet, but I have seen every episode of the shield. I've heard Season 4 of the Wire wasn't as great as the others, but still pretty good.

I thought it was a great season. It was a different direction and wasn't the same old stuff from the previous seasons like most shows do.

The money train was awesome indeed and one of the best moments on The Shield.

Burn Notice is good but no where near the caliber of The Shield, The Wire or even The Unit.

That show was awesome. They got a little out of hand with the plot in the final season, but overall it was one of my favorite HBO shows. Not exactly true to prison life, but it was very enjoyable to watch.

Also, Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) is coming out with a new HBO show called True Blood. Six Feet Under is probably tied with The Shield as my fav. of all-time, so I can't wait to see the new show 😀
