Albany area, 94, feels like 104.

I'm stuck in empty classrooms hooking up 200 desktops this week. The building feels like a brick oven, no AC or air circulation in most of the rooms. At least I'm losing a lot of water weight today, I've already lost 10 lbs this summer just by sweating. Nice easy diet :D

Yes, as in Maryland. Obviously I'm way off with the number, but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing talk about the potential to break a record. I guess it didn't happen.

Yeah, we were close, I believe.

And yeah, this summer has been waaaaay cooler that last year. However, we never reached over 110F heat index last year.

I was supposed to go to MD for a project, but it's been changed.

thank goodness I stayed here (NJ) 95.3 temp, feels like 120, dew point 82

so much cooler than you dudes in MD!

I had been checking Baltimore, MD. Just checked my work (Potomac, MD), and it's 131F. Rapture time.

currently 98 with heat index of 104, not bad for here


But we are accustomed to this kind of heat, we get it every summer. We are starting to break records for longevity though, I think today will be the 26th straight over 100 which is the third longest streak on record here. Still not even close to the #1 streak in 1980 of 69 straight, that year was hellish within that 69 day triple digit streak we had like 20 straight over 110 and 11 straight over 115 actual temp :(

Lol, I like how everything north of me is significantly hotter in the heat index, doesn't happen to often.

Only 88 here but feels like 104, 76% humidity according to weather underground. I haven't actually been outside yet, but get to experience this joy in about 30 mins..yay.

Our worst has passed, this damn thing has gone east now, after wreaking havoc for the past five days or so. It's a mild 85 right now outside.

Same in Vancouver. I'm actually in a town called Summerland, which is in the interior of BC in the desert. It'll hit 40C here regularly in the summer and is just like Napa/Sonoma weather wise. It's been cool here too. In the freaking desert.

Ah well. Back in 2009 we had a ripping hot summer. My car registered 44C (111F) air temp in the shade in Vancouver.
