What happens when that doesn’t happen? I wish it would if only to remove the untouchable status politicians enjoy but I honestly don’t see it happening.

What is the topic, it’s gone all over the place. It was argued that the wall is horrible for minorities, I think it’s relevant to know if we should have border security.

Fskimospy is dodging it, I’d be curious what his answer would be. He won’t give it though.

I pulled that off of a Whitehouse.gov website. In large part it seems to answer the question of why there is a preponderance of white kids in the photo.

First, the Obama administration had the same phrasing on their internship website. So this is a non-starter. From the white house archives:

  • Demonstrated leadership in the community
  • A commitment to the mission of the Obama Administration
The selection process is highly competitive. Applicants are encouraged to submit a thorough application that illustrates qualifications, character, and commitment to public service. A completed application includes two essay questions, two letters of recommendation, and a resume.

Second, to show bias in the intern selection process you would need to know the ratio of minorities and gender to white candidates versus who was selected. If it is the same than it is a non-starter.

Third, I would expect more minorities to apply for the Obama internship since they would align with Obama's mission which would explain the lower number in the Trump internship. It's not necessarily that more white candidates applied or were selected, it could be less minorities applied.

I'm not sure why the left is so hysterical over this issue.

What's up with HuffPost using a wall of tweets instead of writing an article.

Companies plan their budgets based on regs in the works. Yes, it does drive economic growth.
