Letting everyone know that "Drive" is on instant streaming now :)

Great movie, just don't expect it to be all about the actual driving.

Drive was just weird. Gosling's exact performance during 75% of the movie could have been replaced by a cardboard cutout of himself. Just long passages of him not saying anything, standing there with a blank stare and open mouth. Aaaaaaand then queue outburst of extreme violence. I haven't been so grossed out by such unadulterated violence in a movie since Natural Born Killers.

Added the following to my recommendation list (full list on page 1, now 112 titles total). Mad Men most people have heard about, but I also highly recommend watching The Chicago Code. It was canceled in it's first season, but it is a brilliant police drama with superb acting and writing. Without spoiling the ending, it is worth watching despite only being 13 episodes.

Mad Men
The Chicago Code
RoboCop
The Last Days of WWII
Frontline: Bush's War
Forks Over Knives
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Supernatural

Just watched Warriors last night, with Tom Hardy (Baine from Batman), Nick Nolte, and some other British actor, playing two UFC fighters who are brothers. It was sort of over the top dramatic, but it was good. Kind of a modern day Rocky feel to it.

Top Gear is also worth watching if you like Cars and have never seen this show. Nothing like North American Auto shows, it's actually entertaining. Also filled with Exotic cars.

Unfortunately, most of these episodes are "edited for the American audience". I noticed a few times when watching older series that the news segment was taken out, parts of a car review were cut, and music changed. Likewise with the newer ones. Just a FYI for hardcore Top Gear fans.

Wow, that sucks. Netflix here seems to show the whole episode unedited.

There are a lot of good documentaries to watch on there. I would advise giving the whole genre a solid once over to find things that might float your boat.

Seeking Justice with Nick Cage and January Jones (Betty Draper on Mad Men). Cage actually refrains from going into his trademark spazz-out routine. Entertaining action flick worth watching.

As far as I can tell Netflix Instant has the unedited UK versions. They all seem to be the correct length, one hour. The BBC America versions are usually cut to 45 minutes.

Added "The Killing" and "Wilfred" to my list.
The Killing is a bit like Twin Peaks, minus the quirky characters and supernatural elements. So not quite as unique, but certainly still atmospheric and with plenty of plot twists. 7/10 (Season 1)

Wilfred has some dark and perverted humor, but it is laugh out loud hilarious, and Elijah Wood (yes, Frodo) is quite good as the main character. 8/10 (Season 1)
