At least, stab her somewhere other than her shoulder.

Honestly, I thought the entire idea of a trade was beyond stupid on Dawn's part. She is already in a power struggle and accepting a trade is just a sign of weakness. Setting them up for an ambush, getting her people back, and keeping her hostages would have been a far better play.

Rick, after talking with the cops, should have known this.

Eh, now maybe everyone gets on board the "fuck 'em, shoot first, ponder questions later" train Rick is now on. That is twice not killing people has bit them in the ass (Bob with Terminus and now Beth with Hospitalus).

I did think it was idiotic that they went into the building for the trade, you would think it would be done outside on semi-neutral ground. When they were walking up the narrow staircase, it seemed they were ripe for an ambush. Poor execution of a mediocre plan.

Yep. I've grown tired of pointing out the nonsense in the show. Now I expect in every episode that some or all of Rick's group will do something completely stupid and make you wonder just how do the writers expect us to believe such a group survived so long.

Dawn and her peeps had zero clue how many were in Rick's group. Beth never told them, and at no point was it revealed how many there were. Dawn and the hospital police had to assume the group was many times larger then they had, and that even an ambush could have gone wrong for them, very fast.

Of course, the real explanation was the writers not really caring/thinking like this, and just wrote it the easiest way they could.

This show has completely gone off the rails.

All the characters suck. (do I care about any of them at all?)
The story line(s) (are there any?) or horrible.
The intelligence level has dropped through the floor.
And the acting... holy cripes, the acting. Worse than most HS plays. (Beth was the worst too, so her getting offed is OK with me)

Sadly, I'm a completionist and will watch every bitter episode until the end.

Sorta, but they clearly weren't ok with her. Once she was gone they all seemed to want to stand down and basically welcomed Rick's group in.

Dawn was psycho.

Yeah did you see the crazy ass look on her face when she was confronted by that guy??

That's the look a chick gives you before your ass gets shanked (because you cheated or something).

Bitch was cray.

Is there any indication of who from the hospital might be joining Rick's group?

I hope Shepherd (Teri Wyble) joins the group, she is quite the looker.

This season is rather sloppy. Maggie and Beth not even contemplating the existence of each other is one of the more glaring flaws of this season. Even season 2 was more cohesive than this.

I'm sure the people developing the show don't really care. Writing quality is down, but ratings are up.

Meh, the writing on this show has never been good. I watch for zombies and entertaining storylines/set pieces, and to a lesser degree the characters. This season has easily been one of the most entertaining in a while, at least in my opinion.

Yeah it definitely was fun to watch, especially once you set the expectation up for yourself that there are going to be stupid profoundly irrational situations presented. It's just what is bound to happen when they scrape at the bottom of the barrel of innovation for ideas.

But yeah, fun season. I especially like that a lot of the scenery was in the city instead of countryside.

Agree, was awesome to have them back in the city for a while. Enjoyed the change of scenery a lot.

The best part of the show is the setting. The ghost towns and even the urban areas are just done incredibly well to give that atmosphere. Unfortunately, it is similar to Fallout 3: great setting, lacking in pretty much everything else.

BTW- I caught one of the earlier episodes from this season over the weekend and noticed on one of the scenes of the city there was a Abrams tank surrounded by dead zombies - is it suggested that it is the same tank Rick once got trapped inside during Season 1 ??

Yeah good point, I should have mentioned that well. I do enjoy just being in a zombie apocalypse world for an hour every week.

A little. Most of the cityscapes were added digitally. Here is the abandoned hospital they filmed in/around:

I drove my coworker from Morrow, GA past it the other day and he commented that this side of Newnan was "country."

Yes, I believe so.

The more I think about it th emore I agree that the new world needs Rick Grimes.

Someone has to jettison the filth. As we have learned the Walkers are not the most dangerous things out there. There have to be other roaming groups out there raping and pillaging and whos gonna protect them?

Rick Grimes MF Hes got a couple of snipers and Heavy weapons and tactically the hallway handoff gaffe notwithstanding they have been fairly smart this season. May as well go to DC and chill in the WH and start the new united states
