Better cancel the series if that happens, otherwise you're stuck with Rick, Daryl, and Michonne. Oh and babby.

You would have

Rick
Carl
Baby
That young girl (Hershel's daughter)
Daryl
Carol
Tyrese
Tyrese's Sister
And whoever else joins up in finale/start of next season.

Something tells me that group of 3-4 people that joined Woodbury after being outcast from the prison will have something to do with the finale.

Well, before the prison group showed up, he had them all living pretty luxuriously, all things considered. And they didn't know what he was doing behind the scenes (slaughtering military personnel, etc.). So the loyalty is understandable. Then once the prison group arrived, they had to rally together against them. It's kinda like the old saying about Musselini keeping the trains on time.

As for Rick, I'll absolutely agree with you. I think he inherited the leadership position based on his position as a police officer and the makeup of the rest of the group but he's done nothing to inspire confidence.

In the first season he got the group out of the zombie-infested city.

My predictions:

Governor gets killed twice- Daryl puts an arrow in his chest, Michonne cuts his zombie head off.
Herschel dies protecting Maggie and or Glen
Andrea dies protecting Michonne
Milton takes over Woodbury
Carol stays at woodbury (what's the point of her character at this point?)
they better not kill off Daryl (although it looks like they might, since he's a guest star on talkign dead next week, which in the past usually featured killed of characters)

What they'll most likely do is kill off Rick, Daryl, Maggie, Herschel, the governor and a bunch of people from Woodbury. They'll leave us looking forward to a season 4 centered around Andrea leading a group made up of a mute black woman, a whiney Asian who can't act, a blonde girl that nobody even knows the name of, an unattractive wet nurse, and a 12 year old kid trying to act like a hard ass. Oh and the baby! I can't wait, I bet they have 3 episodes in a row centered around a hunt for baby wipes.

Getting a ring off a zombie to give to your girlfriend is a little creepy, but i guess beggars can't be choosers or something.

Merle was drunk when he fought the governer. I thought that was also the reason his aim was a little off too...

I think Milton is going to try to kill the Governer; not sure he'll succeed. Gov might kill him for trying. I think him dying is going to be the catalyst for someone like Tyrese to take the Gov out. That or Andrea dying (doubt this happens).

Glen or maggie are as good as gone. They'll spend the entire next season with the survivor mourning (whining) and trying to commiserate with Darryl, who will tell him/her to fuck off.

The prison is over. They are leaving. Am hoping they set some nasty traps though for the Gov's crew.

Oh and Gov's Lieutenant (Martinez) is definitely going down. Was shocked Merle didnt take him out.

I don't think his aim was off whatsoever. He created a diversion whereby it was incredibly loud with the music and the bullets firing. By shooting someone in the shoulder who is near the zombies, that person appears to have simply succumbed to zombies as opposed to revealing that someone is quietly picking off your group.

His goal was to draw the governor out, and leaving a trail of head shot accomplices had the risk of spooking him or alerting the group.

It was probably the first time in this series we've seen a legitimate strategy applied, albeit ruined by one of the infamous ninja zombies plaguing this season.

If he didn't go nuts on the zombie and fall out of the barn, he could've done more damage

I believe that was his plan, but the Mexican head soldier guy and his butt buddy knew something was up, hence them being right outside the door when Meryl flew out kicking zombie ass.

They had Glenn on a couple weeks ago and he's not dead... yet. They've had Andrea on too haven't they?

It was actually a good plan, I thought.

Damn it. Merle finally starts to be cool then dies a boring death.

Was hoping he'd at least take out Martinez, that guy pisses me off for some reason. Wanna be macho man can't even hit anything with a optics equipped AR.

The theory that he was just shooting them in the shoulder so zombies can eat them is retarded. If he shot them in the head the zombies would still eat them, just they wouldnt yell. Probably just much easier to hit a larger target (torso) than a head, if you really want to justify it somehow.

Also, the martinez guy annoys me too. Its like he never fucking dies, and hes in the middle of fighting all the time. Sort of like the invincible governor.

No, we have to have the wedding episode. Every show requires a wedding episode, it is TV law or something.
What I'm expecting is that Darryl dies, Michonne dies, Perhaps one of the women die (My guess would be Carol) Rick is injured (but will miraculously recover next season) and Andrea, Tyreese, and either his wife or the the guy who's son died (one of them will die, the other will join the group) will join the group.
Glen and Maggie will stay in the new Woodbury, and the season will end with them getting married and taking over the leadership of the town while the rest of the main characters leave.
