Anyone else notice how the younger girl, I don't know what the hell her name is since she's been such a pointless character so far, the blonde chick, seems to be giving special attention to Rick? First she takes it upon herself to be the de facto mother of the baby. Then when Rick returns, she kisses him semi-awkwardly. I think she's looking for older man love.

Ha. I was thinking the same thing when i saw that weird kiss on the cheek.

Was pretty happy with last night's episode. The only part that was hokey was Andrea's rah-rah speech to the townspeople trying to calm them down. I like Rick's descent into madness.

Going to a Q&A meet-n-greet with Daryl, Merle and Maggie on Thursday. What should I ask?

"Your place or mine?"

The show moves slower than the comic. If you cannot wait for her character to fully develop, then atleast look up what TV Michonne is supposed to be based on.

This isn't rocket science.
I'll speak slowly and use small words so you understand.

This thread is about the show.
Just like the last time(s) you brought up the comic, it doesn't apply here.
We get it, you read the comic.

The problem is with the show.
The comic, or web sources do not apply here.

The character has been around all season. If a viewer doesn't understand the character by now, the flaw is with the show.

No one is say "gee there's not enough information out there about the character". They are saying "the show hasn't explained enough".

Governor not a bad guy? You gotta be kidding me. Hitler wasn't a bad guy either. 🙂

Ambushing people and taking their stuff, Trying to kill michonne, and others.

Rick's done all that too.. of course not really trying to kill Michonne but he did kind of torture her when he applied pain during her interrogation. Having said that, the only thing the Governor has done that was over the line was the bit with Maggie. Outside of that, everything else has been about surviving, and while questionable by our modern and safe real world, isn't that far fetched in the show. Which was my point, they're really dropped the ball on explaining why he's a bad guy. I guess they should just let everyone read the comics before the show.. they could just put them on the screen. Then we can all go "oooooh yeah.. he's a bad guy because he raped people in the books.. "

There is nothing wrong with looking up a backstory. Yes, I've read the comics, and I did not suggest that someone read all of the comics either. Time and again, I've suggested to just check out backstories.

So, keep trying to be a smartass. 🙄

Rick hasn't done all that the governer's done. Ambushed people to steal what they had? Kept zombies as pets? Made people fight zombies for fun? Kept people's heads in a jar? Made people fight zombies for punishment?

He's done a few similar things but even those were significantly more reasonable, or less severe.

Rick never chained a woman to a wall, raped and sodomized her repeatedly over a number of days while calling her his "chocolate sex toy".

Neither did anyone else IN THE TV SHOW - which is what is being discussed in this thread.

But, he DID leave Merle handcuffed on a roof with no way to defend himself against an oncoming herd of zombies. Didn't he also kill some of those "bad guys" who stole their guns so they could protect the nursing home that was full of old people?

Did the zombies eat your brains already?

Go post this in the comic book thread and not here.

There is a reason stuff like this and game of thrones threads have two different threads.

Oh you're -still- talking about the comic. Please stay on topic.

His intent wasn't to leave Merle up there, hence the "less severe" part. Intent is kind of important.

It's almost comical. GET IT, BECAUSE OF THE COMIC! I slay me.

Michonne? i still dont see what so great about her and why people have such a hard on for her.

All i see is a loner chick who flashes her stupid sword at people who are pointing a .44 magnum at her head. ooooooo thats bad ass.... not. they should blast her along with Meryl and move on.

Um, did you NOT see the other guy who posted before me talking about the Governor being a bad guy? He already spoiled that little tidbit. No point in blacking it out. And that WAS on topic, since I was responding in part to his comic about Rick and the Governor being one in the same. It was him who spoiled the fact that he raped Michonne, not me.

and don't insult me, I am being cordial to you, so, why are you trying to talk down to me?

Yea, totally. Is that the best you've got?

she reminds me of Luna from Harry potter.

Seriously though, the mods (I think allisolm) have already warned various people in this thread to keep the comic spoilers/discussion out of this thread. I'm not digging through 1,300 posts to find it, but the mods' message was pretty clear.

I get that you're just trying to defend your position, but please leave the comic stuff out.

The topic is The Walking Dead Season 3, there's another thread for the comic. Discussing the comic spoils the TV series. As mentioned, multiple times, comic discussion doesn't belong here.

Discussing how Rick and the governor are similar in the TV series is completely up for debate, I just disagreed and point out some things regarding why, which you ignored just to talk about the comic MORE.

I'm haven't insulted you, get over it.

Neither of those things happened in the TV show. Are you even watching it???

In the first season, they lose a bag of guns in the street after being attacked by zombies. When they come back, the bag is gone. They later found out that the guns were taken by a group of people holding down a makeshift nursing home.

They got the bag off the street. The Vatos took Glenn and abandoned one of their own guys. Rick, Daryl, and T-Dog went to exchange their guy for Glenn, but the Vatos wanted the bag of firearms also. Once the group found out that the Vatos were taking care of old people and they had an amicable exchange of people, Rick gave them a few guns and ammo as he was leaving.

Rick didn't kill anyone. As a matter of fact, Rick was extremely kind to them, and nobody died in that scenario.

So yeah, I'm watching it. 😉

that little blonde girl has a thing for rick... not sure why they didn't bring up that awkward glance she gave him when handing the baby over to rick on the talking dead...

Probably because it breaks the age rule, half your age plus seven, so it's creepy. 😛

How old is she anyways supposed to be?
