They got the bag off the street. The Vatos took Glenn and abandoned one of their own guys. Rick, Daryl, and T-Dog went to exchange their guy for Glenn, but the Vatos wanted the bag of firearms also. Once the group found out that the Vatos were taking care of old people and they had an amicable exchange of people, Rick gave them a few guns and ammo as he was leaving.

Rick didn't kill anyone. As a matter of fact, Rick was extremely kind to them, and nobody died in that scenario.

So yeah, I'm watching it.

It seems that one of the second season episodes that was planned had a disastrous shoot and much of its footage was unusable.

The latest report notes that footage from a second season episode (helmed by a director new to the series) came back with a large amount of unusable footage; which gave AMC the excuse to remove Darabont from the show.

looking back at the season two trailer they obviously used some of the footage from that doomed episode there. because some of those scenes are not in any of the broadcasted season 2 episodes.

at about the 4 minute mark of that trailer Rick says to hell with the noise and they're back in the city.

*edit* found this unbroadcasted scene from season two.

The Vatos don't look like they made it.

Did you notice in Sunday's episode, that when the Governor goes back into his apartment before Andrea confronts him, he pulls out a black bag full of guns marked "Sheriff"? I don't know if it's supposed to be the same bag, or just a coincidence, or if it is the same bag and somehow got into their hands but I forgot about it. But I thought it was interesting.

Yeah, Andrea grabbed it when she separated from the group at the farm. And the Governor has had it in his office since they captured Andrea and Michonne.

I just read that Michonne's pets were carrying it, but I didn't remember seeing that. I queued up Season 3 Episode 3, and sure enough... 🙂

Ok it was just something i forgot about. Thanks.

Show is getting even lamer.
If they go with the whole "Rick is crazy" story line, I am out.

Rick is cracking under the strain. Hershel needs to realize that and lock Rick in a room for about a week of R&R. Unfortunately events don't seem to be giving them time for that.

I agree he's strained....

Given the timeline, his wife died a week ago, his daughter was born a week ago and his son shot his wife. Also during this same week, he killed a zombie that apparently consumed his dead wife, he went on a zombie killing spree in the prison, spoke with "people" on the phone that ended up being his dead wife, and then rescued Glenn and Maggie, and had to go back for Daryl...

I think the guy deserves to be a little unhinged at this time.

This episode was terrible. The acting was terrible, and it was obvious nobody knew what they were doing, including the zombies. I blame the director, especially since it was her first TWD episode. FFS, even an obviously fit man was jumped in the middle of town in broad daylight.

Honestly, I was blown away by how terrible the opening scene was. Easily the worst acting I've seen throughout the entire series.

Agreed. I was really liking the first half of S3 but last night's episode left me feeling kind of meh.
Instead of Carl being the stupid idiot, now it's Andrea. Of course, I hated her in the first two seasons as well. She wants that old life so much that she's able to turn her back on Michonne and move past that the Governor had taken Glen/Maggie prisoner while she was sleeping with him. Instead of ditching the town, she then steps up for the broken down Governor and unites the people.

I know it would be unlike her, but she should have put a bullet in the Governor's good eye and officially taken charge of the town.

She didn't know that though.

And Rick is losing it. I'm seriously starting to question his leadership ability.

She didn't know that though.

Actually, after shooting the pre-zombified townsdude and then walking back to his apartment, the Governor revealed to her that he held Glen and Maggie captive while he and Andrea were together, never mentioning it to her during that time, and STILL she went out and gave her motivational speech to the townsfolk.

Now? When has she not been the idiot? She needs to die, her character is so freaking annoying.
Like I said, I hated her in the first and second seasons but Carl was the primary idiot in the last season and he's turned into a badass this season. Andrea has always been annoying, getting with any damaged guy she could, but she was not THIS bad. The time with Michonne should have turned her into a badass but instead she's trying to bury her head in the sand even more to the reality of the world. I know they're going to try to make her the leader of Woodbury now, but the whole town is a lie to her.
