This. So even though China didn't buy soybeans under the US 2020 trade agreement, all is forgiven because it promised to buy more this time? Oh, Donnie, what a deal maker you are!

He has a concept of a deal! "It's being very close to resolved,”. Meaning I don't have a deal yet but I'm going to convince everyone that I do. He has no idea how anything actually works and worse, he doesn't give a fuck. New dementia driven rules and threats every five minutes. Trump gets a deal we already had and acts like he something amazing. Well shit! Trump damn near "fixed" a "problem" he created! The arsonist wants credit for putting out the fire he started.

Trump: "We took in trillions!" So where the fuck did the TRILLIONS go? Certainly NOT to keep SNAP, Medicaid and ACA subsidies going. Always full of shit.

America - a case study of the steady devolution of a nation.
He breaks shit. Then has to fix it, and calls himself a hero. Only happens every other day.

Ah balls.
Though it was a promised investment that endd up being vaporware
Microsoft is building a data center on the Foxconn site. Lots of power usage but very few jobs will be the outcome.

And heat.. which will create hot and cold.

New tornado alley ^^

Imagine being so needy and starved for attention on an hourly basis. Mommy and Daddy did a number on him that's for sure!

High prices, businesses going under and massive layoffs

Trumps America!

So... we are returning to the 2019 era XD

And at this pace seems that China might end winning the access to the DUV tech again...

So Supreme Court weighs in on Tariffs soon. Does anyone expect them to do anything other than rubber stamp whatever King Trump wants?

I think they are mostly GOP political hacks.
Look there actually is a tough call on principles for them to make here.

On the one hand is the principle: let the (GOP) president do whatever he wants.

The other principle is: don’t let the government fuck with free market money. They actually ruled against Trump when he wanted to screw with the FED/Powell ie the money.

So this one has a little bit of nuance to it for the conservative members of the court.

Trump’s powers end where their investment portfolios begin.

So far Roberts and ACB seem to not agree and now Gorsuch is going hard... He is focused on why can't Congress just give all their powers to Trump based on their argument and not letting the GOV weasel out of answering.

This SC decision won't matter. The administration is going to take a different route and use the term licenses instead of tariffs and get away with it.

It will matter for public perception of the administration. And if they try to go other routes, there are still plenty of rakes to step on.

Trumps Solicitor General said the tariffs shouldn't count as taxes as they weren't proposed to raise revenue. Cue Trump crowing about how much revenue he's raising. He just can't shut his mouth.

Roberts and Barrett will be the justices to watch. The other conservatives like to practice "Selective Originalism." Alito and Thomas will claim that it’s unconstitutional to use what POTUS says as evidence or some such nonsense.

MAGA Supreme Court justices: " Tariffs are taxes. Taxes are purview of Congress. But ..."

Look at them contort themselves into pretzels to give Trump his win. These hacks in robes have no principles.

You would be a fool to believe the importer wouldn't pass the tax on to the consumer. I enjoyed it when he mentioned the figure "$17 trillion." The entire GDP of China. Into our coffers. In six months

The revenue piece is also why the license argument would likely fail as well. Even the most conservative places I check out all seem to concede this isn't going to end well.
