TGiF! :D

:( On call duty all week end.

I know how you feel buddy. I worked all last night on a program (Assembly -- I couldn't sleep, so I was productive), and I've got a ~12 hour workday. After work, I get to go home and resume work on the project. Yeehah!

Coffee will be my friend this weekend.

Has anyone seen the 7-second demos for Windows 7 that are showing during the NCAA tournament?

They take 10 seconds to air which means the commercials are just as bloated as the OS.

A friend of mine did really a great April's Fool joke and he had some tremendous success:

He is a bachelor, has no kids, and is a successfull soccer player in one of the better teams in my area.
Yesterday was a story in the local newspaper, with pictures, that some 9½ months ago he had a great bachelor's party, with many friends and ex-girlfriends. The newspaper wrote in the article that he had become a father of four different kids during the past two weeks. There were also four pictures of him with four different young and beautiful women with him and her holding a baby in their arms. The article went on and wrote thar he had taken all the responsability, was supporting the mothers economically, with looking after the babies, that there was a problem with the state's child support (in Sweden, both the father and mother get child support) because the child support agency did not have enough lines on their form for four different children, with different names and birthdates ...
The story was so credibly written that it foold almost everybody.

The give-away was the baby: it was the same baby, but you had to look closely.

My friend, the four young women (two of them were ex- girlfriends, two were from the newspaper), the photographer were the only ones who knew. The editors, including the editor-in-chief, were also fooled.

In my office (more than 120 employees) only two persons except me did not get fooled. There were thousands of messages to the newspaper about "Immoral Swedes giving Sweden a bad rep", the immorality, support for the guy, there were congrats, flowers, etc. This april fool joke made the rounds in the whole country and was voted the "The Best April Fools Joke" in Sweden.

Here is the story. Here is a follow-up.
