is for more snow this week. I have had enough. I think spring is the best time of year. I just get so tired of the gray winter days.

I know how you feel. I got called in to work at 2300 because the network went down and my supervisor couldn't be reached. :| It is now 0501, and there is no point in going to sleep now, so today is going to be a rough day.

I'm trying to get a job -- then I will really be able to ignore this thread.

I don't know how Rudy Tooday tolerates the grey days. I came up here over 16 years ago from sunny, warm North Carolina. I don't miss the hot humid days, but I'll never get used to the winters here.

Hm, searching Wikipedia, I'm guessing you're too young to be in The Band. Maybe Liz got you into a Canadian women's magazine. :hmm: So she must be who you're in cahoots with. :awe:

You are in the lead; not for ever - but for quite some time ...
I wish you some really good and long and comfy sleep ... ;)

Good morning, all, and welcome back PCTC2. Although I hoe you sleep well and long ... ;)
Today is a warmer day - only -24ºC ... and tomorrow is Friday - TGiF.
Do you all know how hard it is to keep a BBQ at high enough temperatures when it is -18 - -20ºC? I wanted to BBQ some sirloin steaks yesterday, and it went well, but it took time to get the heat up, and twice the amount of char coal ... I decided to do the potatoes in the oven because I would have run out of coal.
But it was so nice: the sky was almost pitch black, the stars were shining. The aurora borealis made an appearance for some 10 - 15 minutes and there was such a quietness. After the BBQ we went to the woods for a walk, we had a lot of clothes on because it was cold but we came back refreshed although it was almost 11 pm ...

I have a sudden urge to camp out in your backyard. :) That sounds amazing, sans the cold.

Today it is warm - comparatively speaking. Only -11ºC (= +12.2ºF). Really comfy.
Yesterday's BBQ was also a recordbreaker - according to one of my neighbours it was the earliest BBQ ever ...;)

LOL. You would laugh when you seen the Texans scatter when it gets below 50.

Gooooood mooorning, world! :)
It is Friday, which is good for most ... beer tonight, chips, maybe a BBQ.
For me it is the start of a week end long on-call duty ... I don't know if it will be good or bad. But that is the attraction - you never know ...

LoL!

OTOH: Northern Swedes would probably melt in 96ºF ... ;)

Yep. Northerners (folks from the Northern states in the US) start freaking out when it gets 85 and start melting between 95 and 105.

The worst was on the coast--there are few things as miserable being in full uniform and the temp being 105 with 100% humidity... Ugh.

Hey Hey Hey.

I guess I am odd? but I am from the "north" (Massachusetts). I loved weather around 0F to 32F and I love the weather in San Diego now (70-80+). I don't mind summer either back east, with 90-100F with 100% humidity. But when it's nice and crisp out at night, without light pollution, it's a great time to walk and lay down on a blanket in the grass to stare at the sky... I drive to the mountains for the cool crisp air now and then... and to see more than 20 stars in the sky at night.

Yeah, that is really nice ...

Oh, BTW, it is Sunday, but I can see no sun today - just a layer of clouds. But that is OK, it only means -11ºC ... and not a lot lower. :)
