BTW, I am teaching in a different town tomorrow. When i drove I encountered some very icy roads, quite dense fog and a snow fall. The first one in this season. 🙂
 
I miss heavy snowfall....

When I was back in MA, never got the flu nor pneumonia. Now I get sick every 6 months.... flu, pneumonia, etc.
 
I have really been missing out on the ignoring going on in here. This is the first 15 minutes I have had in the last week to drop in.
 
I will be rolling out Windows 7 in the workplace starting next week. I have been testing it at home for some time and like it. It should be OK here as we have no legacy apps. I need to confirm that the Citrix client works under 7, though it works OK with Vista.
 
I just looked up Västerbotten, Sweden. It looks like a beautiful place. That lake is huge! Sweden is definately one of the places on my list to visit when I win the lottery.

Umeå (the capital of Västerbotten) is the Cultural Capital of the European Union in 2014.
That will be a grand event for a whole year!

I will do that. I have been saving for my "Grand European Excursion" for a few years now. We bought a house last year and I had to empty my fund. I think I have $45.00 USD available. Which is why I am really counting on winning the lottery. (I suppose I would have to buy some lottery tickets to increase my chances....) 😉
 
Hmmmm. I was thinking about taking 9 weeks to go back-packing around Europe. But, alas, like compudog, I would have to rely on the lottery as I have $-(3,800) to my name, so it will not be for a long time.
 
I remember being in Goteburg <sp> Sweden. Me and a shipmate hiked up a moutain and I went swimming in a large mountain lake halfway up. It really sucks that I lost all of my old digital pictures due to a RAID 5 array failing. 🙁

I lost a few thousand pictures, a few dozen movies, and all of my music when this happened. Who knew the 3 of 6 discs could fail simultaneously?
 
I hate amazon.com. I figured, when I pre-ordered Windows 7 back in the day, it would charge me in full like the other preorders I've placed around the web, or at least ask me. No.... so now I have no money and Amazon is waiting for $250 that I don't have and they won't let me cancel.
 
Somebody give me a suggestion for something to put in my smoker this weekend while I'm smoking up another batch of salmon!
A chicken? I tried thinly cut beef before but it turned out way too salty - my fault for failing to rinse it off before smoking.
I suppose I could try a little beef, just to see if I can do it right. Gotta go to the market, see what's available. 🙂
