Vir, simulus ille est frigidus!

LoL and Roflmao!

I think a more correct grammer would be:

Vir simulus, ille frigidus est! = A flatnosed man, he is cold!

(simulus: lating slang: flatnosed)
I suspect you meant similis, which could mean similar, or like ... ;)

Man, like that is cool! (A saying from the fifties!)

It lost a little something in the translation, or spelling, or both.

Well, a little. I think this translation is mor to the point:

Ille similis frigidus est, vir!

Hmmm, as you all know, in latin the verb comes last (most of the time ...) ;)

And, knowing my children, I strongly resent the word "puer"! Pueri do not have - by definition - any children! Only "viri" have children - thus the word virile: a proven man or masculine, stong, energetic.

The more correct version would be: Petrus vir molestus est.

Which of course is very true.
(For those who do not really know: molestus (latin) = troublesome, annoying.)

I was 'quoting' from an old Latin textbook I had from when I took Latin 1 years ago. Yes, "Petrus vir molestus est".

But I must say "Lingua Latina mortua est."

It is a wonderful Saturday: sun is already high on the sky ... warm, I'll go out and visit mother nature today!
Therefore I'll ignore this thread. :)

What is the Latin for barbecue? If I wasn't ignoring this so intently, I'd mention that I should be ignoring this thread.

Here in Pennsylvania, it is cold and damp. Not conducive to outdoors, unless you like cold and damp.

Mother Nature was kind today: nice weather, a lot of very good mushrooms, berries, and also some moose (which we - BTW - did not collect into our baskets ... ) ;)

Well, this weekend I learned two things.
1) Little kids are awesome. I cared for my niece and nephew. She's 4 months and a little angel and never complains except for wants and he's 18 months and a little terror that also happens to miss his parents and won't stop complaining.
2) I don't think I can handle kids for a extended period of time for at least another 5 years or so. I need to experience more of life and I need to be more mature.

But they are awesome and someday I do want some of my own. They really are a gift.

hey, PCTC2, what cooler are you using on that Q6600? also, is that a G0 or a B3? And what is its VID? I know mine is a G0 with a pretty good VID, 1.25.

What is this? Is this an actual topical question? MUST IGNORE!

And to truthfully answer, I'm just using a CNPS8700. It's only at 3.0 GHz, it's a B3 (I'm an early adopter), and I have no clue what VID it is. Probably 1.31 or something. It was under water when it was at 3.6GHz, but that water system has now migrated to the Q9400 system and soon to be pushed to the i7 860 system.

I lie. That water has migrated to the i7 920 @ 4.0GHz. The Q9400 is on a new loop and I'm going to purchase another loop for the i7 860 when there are adapter plates.

ah cool. I hope to get my Q6600 to 3.6 on air on my 780i. I figure as long as the cooling is good enough, I can do it, since the 7 series is better for OCing quads than the 6xxi series. Anyways, cool that you got to 3.6 with that chip and that board!
