Where do you have to live that a 7 inch blade (assuming that is not the overall length of the entire knife) could get you in such trouble???

Of course, a Seattle cop killed a local well known totem carver a few days ago as he was carving wood on a street corner. Three to the body and one to the head.

What's it all coming to?

In Texas, you can carry a knife so long as the blade isn't longer than 5.5 inches. In your home, you can have whatever. And it can't be double edged, or have any sort of assisted-opening mechanism. My 5.25" blade Kabar is legal to carry, but my 7" Kabars are not.

Basically, it's some little kid in Calculus 2 that was freaking out, and didn't know the rules. I didn't get in any trouble where I work (PD) at all -- in fact everyone was just laughing about it. Although I was asked to carry it more discreetly, so I just switched to a folder.

haha, at my business you must display your knife upon demand or you are issued a demerit. bigger knife owners typically get bigger raises, too.

Very interesting conversation above. In Sweden you can not carry any knife on you when in a public place - unless you need it for the work you are doiung then and there.
You can carry a knife in a closed tool box or similar but not on your body.
You can have it in your car, but not on your body.
The size does not matter.
A 2 inch blade is as bad as a 10 inch blade.

Weird day at work. Gremlins in the network. Some people could not connect to the Exchange server via Outlook on their PC, but could on the terminal server. Others couldn't connect at all. Yet OWA worked. No indications as to why, pings worked, services were running fine, no error messages or warnings. Others worked fine1. No singular information store, just random weirdness.

We haven't rebooted the Exchange server in awhile, we'll see if that works tonight.

*shakes head*

Did get out a bit early, and went to the Olive Garden with some friends. :)

10!

The first half wasn't looking good for the home team. We were down 6 points, but after the break they fought back and won the game 35 to 20!

Good Morning all!
