I thought the finale was lack luster, just seemed to end on a "Meh" note. I'll probably watch the next season only because I'll be too lazy to remove the recording from my DVR and I barely watch any TV as is.

Wow that is very different from the book.

That character is the essential girl that lives in the end. In the book Nora and Vasily Fet become lovers and end up as the only two that know the "truth" and come together. It's with Dr. Eph that a weird love triangle is formed to a degree but not much of one. However, since they have Dutch the hacker girl seemingly now the romance interest for Fet, I was wondering what they were doing with Nora in the future. Might have to pick up and watch the rest of the season now.
 
Been busy watching football on the weekends so still need to watch final 2 episodes of the season.

I did recently find out thought that I have a great grandfather also named E, so obviously now the show is that much better.
 
May as well keep using this one, it has all the old book info in it anyway.

I'm just waiting to see if we get more details on the vaginal sucking.
 
is season 3 running already? ermm.. let me google that.
nice, starts tomorrow. i enjoyed this series, maybe not so much at the start, but it got better later on.
 
The cheese of this show became too much to handle, I am out. I liked the concept and idea so I tolerated it but there is too much good TV to continue on
 
For some reason I thought this was a two hour premier, but just went to check the DVR and it's only 1 hour. Must have confused it with another. They are also running the S2 finale later that night though if you want to record that to rewatch.
 
I hated that kid in the other seasons, and this season is no different, and the wife as well.
That ultimatum was very obvious what it would be as well.

Overall, it picked up more or less where it ended last season, was expecting a full scale war, not just a handful of soldiers they conveniently talked about as NY being a lost cause.
 
Disappointing open to the season. Characters are becoming caricatures of themselves. Setractian was always the mystical monk/curmudgeon but now they've dialed that up a couple of notches. Ephraim is becoming more and more the possessed lone scientist haunted by his demons. Even the Ancient's character seems to have been amplified somehow with the way he talked to the other head vampires. I'm really not optimistic about this season.

I like most of what Guillermo del Toro has done but I think he's slipping with this season. I guess we'll see.
 
Nice guilty pleasure with some interesting ideas. I use it to wash out my brain after the crap fest of "Fear the walking dumb" on Sunday nights.

Nobody commented on the gas syphon from one car to another on level ground? Maybe if one car was full and the other bone dry given two exact model cars. Should have gone into a can first. Guess the writers never stole.. ehr.. syphoned any gas. Nit picking I know but this show has so many nits that are fun to pick.
 
Much like season 2 it picked up pretty much in stride and where things left off. Mr. Setractian tells us we're 23 days into the epidemic now, and apparently the bioweapon is not as effective as Eph hoped. Also it looks like NYC will lose a lot of military support now that it's spreading. We'll see what happens, but glad it's back.

I thought over the last 10-15 years gas tanks had been designed to prevent siphoning. Or it isnt as simple as it was back in the day.

Yeah, I heard that too. Also, read in my book that a CIA agent wrote how to hot wire a car, but you can only do that to cars made before '99 I guess.

The lab scene at the begining, they had duct tape around their sleeves, gloves, but, no head gear on, just a face mask, then some of them didn't even have that?

Hacker chick turned hunter amazingly enough, cleaned her sword, but, didn't take out the other two idiots, and I am unsure why she was crying? Was it because those two idiots got vamped?
She sure gave him a nice headectomy! 🙂

I am also unsure why he didn't take out the UV lights himself to get the book? He could throw something at them, they were not protected in any way?

Sigh. How the heck did he (Gus) NOT get infected by his mom? She spit juices all over the place where he was at.
Double sigh on trying to get her out of the building.
Triple sigh on letting mom loose on them.

Quadruple sigh on the whole Master fight scene.
If they only told the others about their plan... and the worm escapes.
 
Wow that ending, should've gone after the worm! Throw explosives down there. And The Master wasn't Quinlan's "father", didn't you hear him explain that his mom was infected while pregnant?

Explained this earlier I thought in reference to the book.

Quinlan's mother was pregnant when the "Master" bit her without killing her. Basically the baby becomes "part" vampire while the mother fully turns. I guess you can call it a plot crutch as it is never fully explained in the books why a baby becomes a vampire that is not fully controlled by the "Master" vampire that infected the mother. Basically Quinlan doesn't have master worms, but is still has vampire powers and will die the same when the "Master" dies. Basically Quinlan has all the derived powers a LT based vampire would have without being controlled. The reasoning is basically to provide symmetry to the ending when it comes.

Right, but he himself said he was going to kill his "Father". I turned on CC on the scene in question.

Not a big issue now but I'd like to know why Quinlan isn't referred to as Quintus, which is apparently his real name. I wonder how the last episode factors into the rest of the season too, I would think the strigoi surge would at least stop for now.

And about the worm, I did think it was kind of weird how the Master transferred himself to Bolivar by basically spewing worms onto him, I'm guessing the "Master worm" was in there somewhere and is the real way he transfers himself.
