No not really. The master just "corrupted" him by giving him the only freedom as a human. It was very lame in the books how Zach went from good kid to stupid emo lameness. Its as bad in the books as it is in the show. Its part of the reason I didn't enjoy the books that much either.
 
I stopped watching after season 1 but decided to watch the last two episodes of season 3.

I can't believe the annoying ass kid is still there and did the whole "I HATE YOU" thing before nuking New York.
 
If this show some how continues past this season, I won't be watching. I can't find myself giving a fuck about any of the characters at this point.

It already stated at the start of the season that it's the final.

At least the annoying son isn't in it that much.
