I detest facebook, but Im probably going to see this. Writer/Director team is worth it alone.

I don't mind Jessie Eisenberg (sp?). He reminds me of my half brother. Especially in Adventureland.

I can't wait to see this tonight. Currently 98% on Rotten Tomatoes w/ a 100% score on the Top Critics section.

I love this quote from the Peter Travers review:

http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/reviews/45905/210633

Bracingly smart, brutally funny and acted to perfection without exception, The Social Network lights up a dim movie sky with flares of startling brilliance. Director David Fincher (Fight Club, Seven, Zodiac) puts his visual mastery to work on the verbal pyrotechnics in the dynamite, dick-swinging script by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing), and they both do the best and ballsiest work of their careers. The Social Network gets you drunk on movies again. It deserves to go viral.

My 13 year old niece wants to see this, she was like "OMG, Justin Timberlake!!!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

So I blocked facebook.com on my sister's router.

how do you block websites on a router?
you running cisco ios?

hmm... apparently linksys (now cisco) has this capability.

I can't stand facebook or any other social bullshit, but I really want to see this movie. It sounds great.

A good movie is a good movie.

i really can't believe you guys...the trailer looked TERRIBLE...

maybe i'll see it once it's on netflix to see what all the fuss is about...

aaron sorkin (the guy behind west wing) wrote the screenplay.

Zukerburg once had the West Wing listed as one of his favorite shows on his FB profile. He and his girly had a bit of an addiction to the show.

After learning that Sorkin wrote the screenplay to this, he promptly removed it from his profile.

😀

Or you could just look at all of the reviews, check out the director's track record, check out the writer's track record, look up who created the score, etc... but nevermind just base it on the one trailer (of many) that you saw and use that as your reason to wait on Netflix. 😉

I saw the movie last night at a midnight opening. The movie was FANTASTIC. Jesse Eisenberg delivered a spot on performance as Mark Zuckerberg, and the time literally flew by. I can definitely see why people are calling this Fincher's "Citizen Kane," its that good.

No. The movie featured game theory for a very tiny part of the movie. The movie wasn't about game theory. This movie IS about facebook. Pathetic.

Except it's not. It's about how it was founded; it's about greed; it's about relationships and how success can impact them. Hate on Facebook all you want, but do you honestly believe this is a film about people sitting on Facebook, playing Farmville, and updating their status? 😀

It's actually not about Facebook. But you proclaim that you don't want to see it. ...So you may never know what it's about. :\

Saw it this morning (work movie day) and expected it to be pretty lame. It was actually a good movie.

Only reason i know about this movie was because they had a trailer with people singing Creep in A Capella.

Does not like a horrible movie, but I wold not pay $12 to see it.

The movie is important as it shows how the fb really got created.
Zuk basically stolen the idea from bunch of people and got very lucky.
The movie goes into great lengths explaining that.

It is NOT about the FB, its about greed, money, and betrayal...

Too bad that the sheep herd in general does not care about morals and keeps using this stupid site...

LOL? The idea that those Harvard twins had was nothing more than an idea on a chalkboard. I can start talking about making flying cars but that does not give me the right to say that I am the creator of flying cars when they do go into production.

The movie IS about FB, greed, money, betrayal, and ultimately the lonesome path that great financial success brings.
