It was a pretty good movie, lot's of typical Simpson's jokes and just makes a lot of laughs.
It lived up to my expectations, since I wasn't expecting much due to the previous season's having been disappointing.
Regardless, it definitely was better than the more recent stuff. 🙂

removed the apostrophe. damn people gotta cry about everything around here. makes 'em feel better I guess.

nope. the entire movie had one central storyline, and you got funny things on the side. Overall, very well put together, especially considering that its the Simpsons. 🙂
 
The previews for the last month being played over and over and over and over and over and over again have really made me not want to see it at all.

I know...and if you watch FOX at all then you see an add for the damn movie at least 10 times during a 30 minute show. I can't stand that. I thought the movie was out already at one point, then realized it wasn't set to be released for another 2 weeks. I can't stand that sh*t. I'm just turned off by the entire marketing campaign, and that alone will make me wait until the dvd at some point to watch it.

Doesnt matter thats just stupid, not funny. The simpsons were funny like 8-10 years ago, ever since then they have just sucked.
 
This Simpsons movie fad seems like the Itchy & Scratchy movie episode. Honestly, I don't care what reviews say, I'd probably go see it just cause it's the Simpsons in movie form.
 
I'm going to see it, but I want it on record that I hate how in animated movies they add that bit of shading to the characters to make it look slightly more 3-d.

I never really watched simpsons my whole life, but it is definitely better than most of what I have seen the past two seasons.

as far as the spider pig moment being funny or not... I absolutely love it! It's contextual, so you really gotta see it happen, and then later in the movie a chorus/song version of that line is brought to life. The score for the movie is done by Hans Zimmer. 😉
 
Considering it's been 10 years since we've had a good season of the Simpsons, I have very little hope that the humor in the movie will be anything like it was in season 4-8
