FYI, if want to see Dear Zachary, which can be streamed from netflix. Do not read all of the plot on Wikipedia. They have a spoiler that I just read.

Think all the Wiki plot summaries contain the full plot, so spoilers are to be expected.

I've never been brought to tears by any movie, ever. However, I did come close while watching a documentary entitled "The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off". The documentary follows a boy named Johnny Kennedy who has a terrible genetic condition called Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, which meant that his skin literally fell off at the slightest touch, leaving his body covered in agonizing sores and leading to a final fight against skin cancer. I now see it's available on Youtube, so check it out. It's very depressing though.

Dear Zachary is up there.

The first 5-10 minutes of Up, and also about the last 5-10 minutes of Brokeback Mountain are pretty sad as well (Heath Ledger's character in his trailer, talking to his daughter).

#1 The Deer Hunter
#2 The Sugarland Express (Stevey Spielberg's only good movie)
#3 Farewell My Concubine

that's probably my #1, too. also one of my all time favorites.

Children of Men affected me pretty strongly, as well.

though the god damn old guy at the end of Saving Private Ryan gets me EVERY FUCKING TIME!!!

Brian's Song http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068315/

My 7th grade teacher made us watch that and said you will cry. I was trying to be tough guy and not cry and did not but damn that was a sad movie.

That's a good one. I also saw it as a kid and was probably the first movie I recall crying at. Pretty amazing for a made for TV movie, no?

I also use to always cry when Shelly Winters died in
'Poseidon Adventure'.
