Absolutely agree. That is much of what's wrong with America today. There are too many people who are blind to everything outside of party affiliation. It's irresponsible and it's destroying America. But this thread is about Romney.

In regard to your first question ("So, tell me what should be revelent.")...I answered this question. I considered your 2nd question ("Why is Romney running and what does he stand for?") to be extremely broad and rhetorical in nature as the answer is obviously well beyond my ability to answer.
On what basis do you ask me these questions? Do you actually think I'm an apologist for Romney and all his policies? If so, how did you arrive to that conclusion? Think about it. Let's see some of those critical thinking skills that are so highly touted as an innate liberal trait.

I know several millionaires (business partners of my dad/grandfather). you would be amazed at where they shop and what they buy. These are people who can afford to shop anywhere they want. but they have enough common sense that they don't need $200 pairs of jeans.

I HATE Romney. something about him rubs me the wrong way. i do not think or want him to win. I do find it funny those bitching about him being rich and ignoring that obama is rich too. so what if he is not on the same level. he is far above most here.

The difference I see though is that Obama doesn't pretend he's not rich. He regularly makes a point of including himself when he talks about the rich, e.g., when discussing tax increases or the wealthy doing well. And yes, as you note, Obama rich is a different world than Romney RICH. Obama is an "average" millionaire, while Romney is in an upper tier. Obama started from a relatively modest beginning, whereas Romney has always had money. That's fine, but Romney should be honest about it instead of posing as being just like average Americans. He is not, and never has been.

With the Obama's it was clear they worked hard to get to where they are at...no denying it
Same goes for Romney...granted his family had $$..I'll take him for his word that he lived in a basement apartment and worked hard for his millions.

What I don't like, from EITHER party...is this fake attempt to connect to Americans that struggle every day...because they (The ROmneys/Obamas) don't live that struggle, they don't know what its like to go to bed worrying about money and bills and wake up worrying about money and bills..
Just don't try to fake it, if you have millions (Like the Romney's) then freaking say it!! tell me that you worked hard, you got a quality education, you raised quality kids and they got the best education money can buy, tell me that you learned from the best schools, have the best experience in business and economics, have the best connections with experts and tell me what your plan is on how we can ALL make America better. If, after all of the millions you made, that you can sit there with a straight face and tell me you still shop at Costco, and that you are just like ME...then I can think of only 3 things:
1. you are a cheap ass cheapskate
2. you are lying and patronizing me.
3. you are too dumb to use your millions to good use.
At that point, you've lost me, your message is lost, and you deserve to be handled with criticism and caution.

that photo-op is less than a year old.
they were millionaires already at that point... if they were still paying off their student loans, I can only assume it was a financial decision based on student loan tax deductions, not an inability to pay.

Millionaires are such because they are generally good with their money. That being said. Romney's netw worth is in the 250 mill ballpark. THis last year he made 10,000 dollars and hour if he worked a 40hour work week. Romney's time is money. Think about it economically. Does it even makes sense to try to save that money? I don't think so.
Common Sense? If ur making 10,000 and hour. Again what is $300 dollars to you? It's just a different type of valuation of money.

How many millions was Obama born with? How much of Obama's tuition was paid by his parent's millions? How many people has Obama personally put out of work to make a profit off their termination? How many offshore tax havens does Obama have over $50 million dollars hidden in? How many years of tax returns has Obama made publicly available?
